The Father’s Feet

Luke 10:38-42 NASB  Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, who was also seated at the Lord’s feet, and was listening to His word. 40 But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do the serving by myself? Then tell her to help me.” 41 But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things; 42 but only one thing is necessary; for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

This story of Martha and Mary is relatable to all of us. Sometimes we get so busy like Martha and then there are times we want to be like Mary and choose the more excellent way. I want to choose the more excellent way. I want to follow the Lord. To do that, I need to be at His feet, hence the title The Father’s Feet. I want to share my thoughts and my prayers with others to help encourage them on their way. May the good Lord draw us all ever so close to Him on this journey. God bless you all.

Oh most holy heavenly Father,

We praise and thank You for all Your many blessings. Thank You for this blog. May You use it for Your glory to draw many people to a closer knowledge of You. May we feel Your presence as we draw nearer to You. We come and we sit at Your feet, ready to listen and learn. We love You. Do what only You can do. We thank and praise You for everything. Praying always in Jesus’ name. Amen.
