I Need You Lord

James 4:8 ESV Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Our most holy Lord,

What is man that You are mindful of him (Psalm 8:4)? What is our life but just a vapor which is here today gone tomorrow (James 4:14)? How can we define You Lord or our relationship with You?

We must submit to Your authority, to our understanding of who You are and what Your will is for our life. It is not tedious to serve You Lord. It  is amazing,  thought provoking and powerful to  be in the hands of the Potter (Isaiah 64:8). I love trusting You and succumbing to Your teaching, leadership and guidance. You who made the whole world. There is nothing You cannot do. I am so amazed by Your infinite love for me. Try as I might, Lord, I still can’t wrap my head around the severe complexity of it. Yet it also is so simple for us to just believe. As we walk on this journey, we realize more and more that our strength and power comes from You. We realize just who You are over and over again by Your deliberate love for us.

I love getting closer to You, Lord. My soul aches to know You more. I love being Your child. Being in Your presence is the most amazing thing ever. Help me, Lord, as I go about my day to listen to and for Your sweet voice. Help me to follow You wherever You lead me (Isaiah 30:21-23). I trust You, Lord. You are amazing. Thank You for loving me. Thank You for Your great love, which all the world cannot contain, yet You live in our hearts. You fill us. You love to hear from us. Your desire is that none should perish (John 3:16). Help me to be Your servant in word and deed (Colossians 3:17). I love You, Lord.

Your servant forever

By the blood and power of Jesus Christ
