2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Lord, we have become lovers of ourselves, manipulators, liars. We have allowed and even encouraged all types of immorality. We have turned away from You. We have allowed murder. We call the ending of an innocent life, that You have created, abortion. We disguised a life with the name fetus instead of baby. As if changing the name would change the life inside of the mother’s womb.
Oh, God, we have become sick and twisted in our thinking. We have tried to genetically alter Your great creation in ourselves. May these things grieve us, Lord, may they make us sick to our stomach, break our hearts and bring tears to our souls. These things are disgusting, like vomit, in Your eyes. We are so sorry, Lord, for our behavior as a nation. We have walked far away from You, Lord. We need You back dear Father. We humble ourselves for our nation, for all the lost souls. Lord, Your word said You wouldn’t destroy Sodom if there were 10 righteous people there (Genesis 18:32). Please don’t let us be destroyed by our own lusts and divisions. Lord, please draw us back to You.
Make it to where we are so full of Your Spirit that truly our nation will be the best in the world because of Your power! Lord, we pray, that through You, our congressmen and women will make laws governing our land that will be pleasing in Your sight and according to Your will. Take the nations blinders off and let abortion be completely terminated. May all lying and manipulation cease. May each man speak truth to his family, friends and acquaintances (Ephesians 4:25). Let the hearts of our children seek You and Your ways (Isaiah 55:6-9). Set our hearts on fire to do Your will. Lord, Your will is not grievous or hard. Your will is perfect.
Your love is perfect. Cast down all fear and lies of the enemy. We can shine as a nation. We can be a beacon. When we surrender to Your will. Help us to surrender, Lord, so we can stand victorious and on that day shout that God is good! There is no-one like Him! He is able to heal all of our diseases (Psalm 103:3). Those which are in our mind, body and also our nation.
The Great Physician is our guiding Light! Look to Him all you nations. Look to Him and be saved (Isaiah 45:22). He will carry and sustain you (Psalm 55:22). His IS the power and the glory forever (Matthew 6:13). Our King of kings and Lord of lords, the Great I Am, His name is JESUS.
We praise You, Lord, for Your mercy, love, strength and power. There is none like You. You are our God, our Friend, our Redeemer, our Sustainer, Life-giver, Miracle worker, Light that dispels darkness. You are our everything and we trust and turn to You.
