Praise the Lord. How many times, where, when and why from the Bible.
Praise You Lord for You are my God, You are faithful to do the things You said You would do.
Isaiah 25:1 NASB O Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.
Everything that has breath is to praise God (Psalm 150:6). Bless Him at all times and continually (Psalm 34:1). Paul and Silas praised God at midnight in prison. David praised Him seven times a day (often). He deserves our praise at all times and it truly doesn’t matter where we are or what time it is.
Why praise Him….God is enthroned on praise (Psalm 22:3). Praise Him for His comfort. He supplies us with comfort to extend to others that we have received from Him (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Praise Him because there is no-one like Him. (2 Samuel 7:22). He is a Father to the fatherless, a defender of widows (Psalm 68:4-5). Everything He does is right (Daniel 4:37). Praise Him for life, for giving His only Son for our sins (John 3:16), and for protection (Deuteronomy31:6). His word says He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Praise Him for His mighty deeds and for His excellent greatness. (Psalm 150:2). Praise Him for His word which can teach, correct, train and equip us (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Praise Him for our parents which is also a commandment to honor them. Also that our days might be long (Exodus 20:12) Praise Him that our names are written down in heaven (Luke 10:20). If we are praising, we are not sad (Isaiah 61:3). There is not a time that we are to not praise Him through.
On a personal note even when I was miles away from my grandson and he was having seizures that sent him and his worried mama to the hospital, I praised the Lord. I was praising Him through my own storm. I even remember looking in a mirror and seeing the hurt there in my eyes over that situation. The inability to be there for my sweet daughter and the concern over my grandson, the feelings were there I could see them, but I praised God through them and He carried me through. God is so good. Praise is a weapon against satan and his demonic forces. The Lord inhabits the praise of His people. The battle is not ours it is His. Just praise Him and see what He can and will do in your life.Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Pray with me please,
Father, You are good. You have given us so much. Thank You for everything, breath, life, power and strength. Thank You for Your word. You have supplied us with all of our needs according to Your riches in heaven (Philippians 4:19). You have been with, protected, guided and loved us more than we even know. Praise You and thank You Lord. There are so many things to thank You for. Help us to continually have Your praise on our lips through the good times as well as the bad. It is so comforting to know that You are always with us. Thank You for the message today of praise. We love You Father God. You are good and Your mercy lasts forever (1 Chronicles 16:34). We praise and exalt You as our King of kings and Lord of lords. Rule in our heart and mind today, Father. Be glorified in us today. In Jesus’ name we pray.
