Snow Believers

Psalm 119:17-18 NASB Deal bountifully with Your servant, that I may live and keep Your word. Open my eyes, that I may behold wonderful things from Your law.

When we look at the new fallen snow, we can’t help but see the beauty in it. In its color we see a purity, cleanness and aura of being undefiled about it. Indeed, God is good to create such an awe-inspiring view into creation. Every snowflake is unique and when put together they form some of the most spectacular views on mountains, in valleys and across rivers.

We, as Christians, can also be as beautiful as the most picturesque, snow-covered mountain, when we clothe ourselves with the garment of praise and enter His house with thanksgiving and praise. (Psalm 100:4) When we start applying scripture to our lives and actually walk in the fullness of it by the power of God living inside us. Read with me what James has to say in chapter 1 verses 26 and 27.

If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless.  Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

Those are two very good verses to apply to our lives. When we start doing what the word of God says we become beautiful. It is not what is outside a body that defiles a person, rather what is inside. (Mark 7:15)

Luke 6:45 NASB The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.

Which will it be today for you my friend? The choice is clear. It will either be good or evil. We need to be honest with ourselves. God already knows. He knows the intent of our hearts. (Jeremiah 17:10) Choose today who you will serve. A man cannot have two masters. (Matthew 6:24) It is my hope that all of our hearts cry will be the same as Joshua, As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15)

Pray with me please for the Lord to give us purity.

Lord God,

You know everything. There is nothing hidden from You. You are great and we exalt you. We lift Your name on high. You are King of kings and Lord of lords. We bow before You with humble hearts. Thank You for everything You have given us. Lord, it is our desire to walk fully with You, completely surrendered and committed to You. We want to honor You, Lord, and be as pure as the fresh driven snow. We want to exemplify Christlike behavior in every area of our lives. We want our actions, thoughts and attitudes to line up with Your word. We so want to be pleasing in Your sight. Wash us and we shall be whiter than snow. Cleanse our hearts with the beauty of Your word. May we continue to shine in this world and become like the most majestic snow covered mountain. So that many souls will come to You through us and the beauty they see. We love You Lord. Have Your way in us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
