We Can See Clearly Now 2020 Vision

I’d like to start this journey this morning on a personal note. This morning my husband got irritated with me. Now this isn’t a story of right and wrong. It’s the story of what happens when you sit back, take yourself out of the equation, keep doing the right thing, maintain your composure and temper and wait for God. How, what and where you ask?

Ok, so it has a little right and wrong, lol, but that’s not what the thought is. So, this time my husband got irritated with me and he was wrong.  I just looked at him and confronted him with exactly what he said. Then I dropped it. He walked away angry but the Lord spoke to his heart and not even 5 minutes went by and my sweet, strong and wonderful husband came back to me and apologized. Then God spoke to my heart, “this is what happens when I am in charge of situations”.

Let’s look at the Bible for what He says.

Jeremiah 51:36 NASB Behold, I am going to plead your case and exact full vengeance for you; and I will dry up her sea and make her fountain dry.

Isaiah 41:10 NASB Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Exodus 15:2 AMP The Lord is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise Him; my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

Even in our marital squabbles we don’t need to fear, or defend our selves. It doesn’t matter who is right and who is wrong. Who cares if we can get 100 people on our side? Is that going to help the situation? We just need to lay back in the Father’s arms. When the heat gets turned up, relax even more. The battle isn’t ours, it is the Lord’s.

You see it’s not about wrong or right, up or down, and it seldom is black or white. That isn’t even the question. The question is, are you going to fully trust God in every area and aspect of your life? Are you wholly committed to seeing His will done in and through you? Scripture says…

Ephesians 5:28-30 NIV In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church  for we are members of his body.

Proverbs 21:9 NIV Better to live on a corner of the roof  than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.

1 Peter 4:8 NIV Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

Psalm 141:3 NKJV Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.

Lord,

We just want to praise You for the sanctity of marriage. You have set it apart as being holy. Thank You for this wonderful blessing You have given to us. It is our desire to honor You in it. Help us to love one another in the way that would be pleasing to You. We pray that no unwholesome talk would come out of our mouths to or about one another (Ephesians 4:29), but that we would love one another in the way You have set for us to do. Your word is our guidance. May we continue to follow Your leading in this as well as every other area of our life. We give You all the honor, all the praise and glory for Your goodness and Your provision. Thank You for loving all of us so much. You are so good. We love You Father. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
