God Remembers, Remember Him

Psalm 119:49-56 NLT Remember your promise to me;  it is my only hope. Your promise revives me;  it comforts me in all my troubles. The proud hold me in utter contempt, but I do not turn away from your instructions.  I meditate on your age-old regulations; O Lord, they comfort me.  I become furious with the wicked, because they reject your instructions. Your decrees have been the theme of my songs wherever I have lived. I reflect at night on who you are, O Lord; therefore, I obey your instructions.  This is how I spend my life: obeying your commandments.

God’s word is our hope, our comfort, direction and strength. That’s why it is so important to open up the word of God. How will we get closer to the Lord if we do not know what He is saying?

All of the preparation for any earthly encounter in this life is found in the holy bible.

I haven’t always walked with the Lord. There is something I want to share with you about how Jesus helped me at night while I was asleep. There isn’t a lot of things that I know, but this one thing I do know, Jesus is my Lord and Savior and at His name every thing that has been named must bow. (Philippians 2:10-11)

I was saved at the early age of 13 and was raised in the church. So I know a few scriptures. In my life, I  have drifted away from the Lord a couple of times. Thank God for His hand in my life and for drawing me back. He is faithful and not willing that any should perish. (2 Peter 3:9)

Okay, so I was friends with a lady who I found out was a Welsh witch. Sorry,  but as soon as I found that out, I quit hanging out with her. That very night, while I was sleeping, I had a dream that she was trying to push me down the basement stairs. I knew, in my dream, that if she did I would certainly die in real life. Well I struggled with her at the top of the stairs and tried to make myself wake up as I knew I was dreaming. I couldn’t wake up. Then and there, in my sleep, I said, in Jesus name wake up. I immediately awoke. I had a different friend tell me that it was so amazing that I knew to call out for Jesus even while I was sleeping. I may not know a lot of things, but this one thing I know, Jesus is Lord. In the day while I am awake He is Lord. In the night while I am asleep,  He is Lord. Before I was created, He is Lord. Jesus is my Lord and Savior. He is the Solid Ground my feet are planted on. This is the truth, knowledge and freedom for all of us Christians. He is there. He is Lord. He desires a close relationship with all of us. Open His word please and draw near to Him.

Acts 4:12 KJV Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Philippians 2:9-11 NKJV Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,  and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

John 14:13 KJV And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Pray with me please,

Lord God,

Jehovah-Jireh, You have always been my provider. I praise You for that Lord. Thank You Jesus for the power that You give us. At Your very name Jesus the demons run and flee! Thank You for that. Thank You most of all that, when we accept You, our names are written in Your Lamb’s book of life (Luke 10:20).

Father, I have shared this event in my life to let others see Your power, to let them know that You are there for Your children at all times, to let them know that You love them and want a closer relationship with them.

Please Lord, draw us all into a closer relationship with You. The time we have on earth is short, help us to be ready.

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
