Psalm 119:73-80 NLT You made me; you created me. Now give me the sense to follow your commands. May all who fear you find in me a cause for joy, for I have put my hope in your word. I know, O Lord, that your regulations are fair; you disciplined me because I needed it. Now let your unfailing love comfort me, just as you promised me, your servant. Surround me with your tender mercies so I may live, for your instructions are my delight. Bring disgrace upon the arrogant people who lied about me; meanwhile, I will concentrate on your commandments. Let me be united with all who fear you, with those who know your laws. May I be blameless in keeping your decrees; then I will never be ashamed.
The precious and holy water of God’s word, may it fall over us, cleansing us from the inside out. May we be a light in this world, shining brightly for the glory of the Lord. I love the realness in the psalmist. Give me the sense to follow Your commands! I mean it is so true. We know better but how often do we get off course and do things our own way and not the way that the Lord has shown us? God’s word is fair. His love is unfailing. He is merciful. There are so many things we read here. That’s one of the things I love about the word of God. It can be read and then read again, and still yet read again and it will speak to our heart differently each time. Not only that but the Lord can reveal different things to each one of us from the same passage. For example, the woman taken in adultery could be considered a story of hope or renewal or mercy or forgiveness. It can be whatever the Lord wants it to be for each individual. You might need hope where someone else needs renewal. See what I mean? The same for Peter sinking. It could mean restoration for one and love for another person. The word of God is living and active. I am not suggesting ever a different gospel other than Jesus that we read of in the Bible. I am just saying that God will use His word to speak to His children with the message that they need individually.
Hebrews 4:12 NIV For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
2 Corinthians 11:3-4 NLT But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent. You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed.
1 Peter 3:15-17 NLT Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ. Remember, it is better to suffer for doing good, if that is what God wants, than to suffer for doing wrong!
I feel that it is very important to digest the word of God, so that we know how to answer people who do not believe. Tell everyone you know that you know Jesus. Share your testimony. Don’t worry if they mock you, they mocked Him. Keep trusting in Him to supply you with every word that you need. Pray ahead of time. Ask the Lord to send someone your way for a divine appointment that only you would be able to minister to. Today, let’s make a difference for the kingdom.
Luke 6:22-23 NLT What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man. When that happens, be happy! Yes, leap for joy! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, their ancestors treated the ancient prophets that same way.

Oh most holy Father,
Praise You for the day You have given us and for the very life we have. You are so good. Thank You for Your goodness, mercy and compassion. Thank You for teaching us the way in which we are to walk in this beautiful life You have created for us.
We ask You to give us the sense to follow Your commands found in Your word, the holy Bible. Let us hide Your word in our heart that we might not sin against You (Psalm 119:11). May we make spending time with You our priority and reading Your word our delight. Some trust in wealth and power but we trust in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There is nothing that You cannot do through a heart submitted and life that is fully yielded to You. You are awesome and amazing. Please guide our steps and help us to shine like the noonday sun for Your glory. In Jesus’ name we pray.

You are welcome. Thanks for your comment. It is very encouraging for me. God is so good. I am glad He is leading us through Psalm 119 right now. It started out with part 1 and part 2. But I see that the Lord has much more than that to say for titles. We are nearing the end of that chapter. I wonder what He will lay on my heart next. Thank God that He is the God of the Here and Now. He is so loving and helpful. Have a great night my online friend. God bless.
