Psalm 119:121-128 NLT Don’t leave me to the mercy of my enemies, for I have done what is just and right. Please guarantee a blessing for me. Don’t let the arrogant oppress me! My eyes strain to see Your rescue, to see the truth of Your promise fulfilled. I am Your servant; deal with me in unfailing love, and teach me Your decrees. Give discernment to me, Your servant; then I will understand Your laws. Lord, it is time for You to act, for these evil people have violated Your instructions. Truly, I love Your commands more than gold, even the finest gold. Each of Your commandments is right. That is why I hate every false way.
When we desire God first in our lives, when we put His will and way ahead of our own, it is then that we can expect Him to work on our behalf. We can claim His word and His promises. We cannot earn our salvation. (Ephesians 2:8-9) There is none righteous, no not one. (Romans 3:10) But we can trust in Him and His word which is unfailing and forever true and faithful. He is with us, loves us, and is working all things together for our good. We can then pray for protection against our enemies, the arrogant and those who try to oppress us even spiritually. God’s word and way is truth. Following Him and His will for our lives grants us His protection. So when we are down and discouraged, remember that He is there, He cares and He is fighting our battles. Lift your head weary sinner, God has you.
Isaiah 54:17 NLT But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!
Wow! See what power we have as the children of the most high God? Read that again and again! Claim it over your life. That is just one of the promises from the Lord. What are some of the ones you have claimed? Let me know in the comments section. God bless!
Pray with me please,
Dearest and most loving, perfectly perfect, holy and righteous Father,
We come to You today asking for Your help. We live in a fallen world and were born into sin. We need to be cleaned up, Father. We have trusted Jesus as our way to You and now we claim Your power, protection and provision over our lives because of the righteous and holy blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross. Not just for a single individual’s sins, but for the sins of all mankind. Help us to draw near to You, Lord. We need You and we need to know Your word. Thank You for Your guidance and protection. May we continue to honor You in all we do and say. Be glorified through our actions with the time we have left on this earth. In Jesus’ name.
Psalm 119:1 NLT Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord.
