Psalm 19 NASB

The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their utterances to the end of the world. In them He has placed a tent for the sun,  Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; It rejoices as a strong man to run his course. Its rising is from one end of the heavens, And its circuit to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its heat. The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether. They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.  Moreover, by them Your servant is warned; In keeping them there is great reward.  Who can discern his errors? Acquit me of hidden faults.  Also keep back Your servant from presumptuous sins; Let them not rule over me; Then I will be blameless, And I shall be acquitted of great transgression.  Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.

Your Words by Third Day

Acts 13:22 states, David, this psalmist, was a man after God’s own heart. What does that mean and how can we apply it? David loved the Lord. He loved Him more than anything, as this is evidenced in His prayer. Look closely at verse 14, Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer. David wanted everything he said and everything he pondered in his heart to be acceptable and pleasing to God. He put God ahead of his own personal will. He wanted to do and say the right things for the right reasons. That’s the point we need to get to. The time to play games is over. Let us too say with David, Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer. The Lord doesn’t want us riding the fence any longer. Either we are a Christ-follower or we are not! Make the decision today to follow the Lord with all of your heart , mind and soul (Mark 12:30). For this is truly pleasing to Him.

Revelation 3: 15-22 NASB

I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’ ”

Matthew 10:33 NASB But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.

Luke 12:51 NASB Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division;

Amen!

Dear Lord,

You are so awesome in Your glory and splendor. We pray that the words of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts would be acceptable in Your sight, our Rock and our Redeemer. You have the keys to it all, Lord. You have all the wisdom in the world and more. You hold it all. Help us to get our minds, thoughts, actions and attitudes in line with the light of Your word. We need Your clear direction. Help us to step up and step out, acting on what we know to be truth, according to Your word. Please guide our steps as we bravely walk in faith following You. We love You and want to honor You in our lives. Let us be on fire with Your words and Your message! May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).  In Jesus’ name. Amen.
