Precious, holy and wonderful Father, Please open our hearts to receive Your word. In Jesus’ name.
The following are just some of the many attributes of God, as we can clearly see according to His word. It is by no means an all-inclusive list, as I am sure there are so many things to learn about God, that this blog would be too long to contain it all. For the sake of keeping the blog a tad bit smaller, I have chosen a few that speak to me. Feel free to leave any others that you may have found in the comments section, as I always love to hear from you, my readers.
Luke 11:2 NKJV So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
God is our Father. This is our identity through Christ as heirs to the promise (Galatians 3:29). We are, God on Highs, children and He loves us and wants nothing but good things for us.
Isaiah 45:21-22 NKJV 21Declare what is to be, present it- let them take counsel together. Who foretold this long ago, who declared it from the distant past? Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no god apart from me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none but me. 22″Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.
There is no god but our God. This wonderful Father God who has made the universe is our Savior. He is righteous and is calling people to turn to Him and be saved.
Titus 2:11-14 NASB 11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, 12 instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, 14 who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
We are His possession, His handiwork created in Christ Jesus to do good works (Ephesians 2:10). Think long and hard on that. He is our Savior. Our sins held us prisoners until God, in all His mercy, sent Jesus to die for the sins of mankind. Those chains can no longer bind us. We are free through Christ and made to sit in heavenly places through Him (Ephesians 2:6). Whom the Son sets free is free indeed (Mark 10:45). The Bible says He is our husband. Look at Isaiah 54:5 with me.
For your husband is your Maker, Whose name is the LORD of hosts; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, Who is called the God of all the earth.
The God of all the earth and yet He has time for us. He is our Redeemer! He has given Himself to redeem us from all sin (John 3:16). We are His dear children, the bride of Christ. He loves us. The God of all creation and He loves us!
John 4:24 KJV God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.
Search your heart. Is He Lord of everything inside of you? If you were to stand in front of God right now, is there anything that you would have to lay down? Is there anything that would separate you from His glorious presence? Then friend, please lay it down now. For I know that nothing in this world is worthy to be compared to Him and His glory. Please do not let anything come between you and your relationship with our Father. Ask Him to reveal to you if there is anything that is not pleasing to Him in your life. Ask Him to search your heart and see if there is anything that is separating you from a closer walk with Him.
1 Chronicles 16:34 NASB O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
Psalm 34:8 NASB O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!
Let those who love Him give thanks to Him in all things, because He is good. No matter what may come our way, God is good. He doesn’t change. He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). We can trust Him.
Numbers 23:19 NASB God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
God is not a man that He should lie. God is trustworthy. We can trust Him at His word. Read it, oh child of God, read His word with me please! God is good, powerful, strong, competent, and more than capable to handle anything that life throws our way. He made it all. Take a look around you and see what all God has made. Even in our furniture because He made it, by creating man with a mind smart enough to construct it. He made the trees to provide the wood. There was nothing made that He did not make (John 1:3). There is nothing too hard for our God. He is seated on the throne and rightly so!
1 John 1:5-7 NASB This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
God is light and He alone can dispel darkness. That is why He is calling us to know His word, and to seek Him with all of our heart. Then we can walk in His light and shine it to others. We are free, yes, free to walk in His light, not in darkness. We have fellowship with God by walking in His light! What is His light? What is the truth? It is found in His word. He lives inside our hearts and He grows in us, the more we study His word (Romans 10:9-10). Search for Him, oh man or woman of God, for it is then that you will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13, Deuteronomy 4:29).
Deuteronomy 33:27 NASB “There is none like the God of Jeshurun, Who rides the heavens to your help, And through the skies in His majesty. 27 “The eternal God is a dwelling place, And underneath are the everlasting arms; And He drove out the enemy from before you, And said, ‘Destroy!’
The eternal God is a dwelling place. We can dwell in Him. In His word we find comfort, correction and courage. He is our helper, comforter and friend who sticks closer than a brother (Hebrews 13:6, Proverbs 18:24). Who is there like our God? There is none! Praise Him you who live in the mountains, praise Him you who live in the valley, praise Him you who live by the seashore or riverside. Wherever you are, praise Him! Lift your voice, raise a banner, for our God reigns! Blessed be the Rock! Hallelujah!
Pray with me please
Dearest most holy, awesome and amazing Father, Lord of all creation,
Please help us, Your children, to lay everything and anything that would separate us from You, down at Jesus’ feet. Lord, may we be disgusted and totally repulsed by sin. The church, Your bride, the body of Christ has been complacent too long. We have forsaken You, our one true love. We have allowed our souls to become diseased with the tolerance of sin. We have just sat back and not prayed, not sought after, or adhered to Your word for long enough. Now we are in a mess. Please come to our rescue. We need You back in our homes, schools and nation. The entire world needs You, of that there is no doubt. We are sorry Lord. We turn away from selfishness, pride and complacency. We ask You to breathe on us and make us new! Restore us to such sweet communion with You. Take our stony hearts and make them hearts of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). Lord, please put Your laws in our minds and write them on our hearts (Hebrews 10:16). We cry out You are our God and we are Your people (Hebrews 8:10). We need Your word, that is more active than any 2-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), to open our eyes to any hidden sin and also shed the light in the darkness that sometimes seems to be all around us. Let a mighty revival come through this land because Your people have turned back to You. Just like in the Old Testament. Every time the Israelites would turn back to You, then You would bless them. Father, I pray that there would be such a great revival in all of the earth, such as has never been before. Please touch men’s and women’s hearts all around the globe. We need You, Lord. I pray You would bless Israel, America, Britain, Germany, Japan, North and South Korea, India, France, UK, Brazil, Italy, Canada, Russia, Australia, Spain, Mexico, Indonesia, Turkey, Kingdom of the Netherlands, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Sweden, Thailand, Poland, Belgium, Nigeria, Iran, Austria, Egypt, Norway, United Arab Emirates, Philippines, Ireland, Malaysia, South Africa, Columbia, Singapore, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Chile, Finland, Portugal, Peru, Vietnam, Venezuela, Romania, Czech Republic, Greece and China as believers around the globe kneel at Your feet. The only One who can save us. We rely and trust fully in You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
We are instructed to bear one another’s burdens, (Galatians 6:2) so if there are any prayer requests feel free to leave them in the comment section. I would be honored to pray with you. If it is more private you can always contact me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org I check that every day. Blessings to you all, till we meet again, tomorrow, if the Lord is willing. Peace.
