He is Risen! Now Go and Tell the Good News!

Nothing can hold us down. Not fear, not loneliness, not depression or anxiety, nothing that this world has to offer. I declare that nothing can separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:35-39). He is alive! Jesus has risen from the grave.

What a great day! What an awesome message! It should fill every believers heart with immense joy. There should be shouting. HALLELUJAH, God is not dead. He is living, active and breathing in and through us with the gift of His Holy Spirit (Hebrews 4:12). We learn and grow in Him, the more we study His precious word. Come alive with Him, dear reader, come alive.

The Passover

Exodus 12:12-14 NASB For I will go through the land of Egypt on that night, and fatally strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the human firstborn to animals; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments—I am the Lord. 13 The blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you live; and when I see the blood I will pass over you, and no plague will come upon you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. 14 ‘Now this day shall be a memorial to you, and you shall celebrate it as a feast to the Lord; throughout your generations you are to celebrate it as a permanent ordinance.

Our loving God is also a God of judgement. His word says we are to have no other gods before Him. We already studied that in my blog, the First Commandment.  This is why we should remember the Passover, the word of God says it is a law for all time, generation to generation, and to celebrate it. We need to know what the Lord did. How He saved those who believed in Him and had the sacrificial blood of the lamb on their doorposts. May we not forget what God has done for the Israelites. We will remember and give thanks.

John 1:29 NASB The next day he *saw Jesus coming to him, and *said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

We also give thanks to God for His great love and sending His Son to die for our sins (John 3:16).  Today, we have the blood of Jesus to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. He is now our Lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7). Because  our sin had separated us from God  (Romans 3:23).

Hebrews 10 29-31 NASB How much more severe punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” 31 It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Be careful, and not so flippant, in our relationship with Christ. There was a high price that was completely paid by Jesus. (1 John 3:16) May we show our love for Him by living as true believers and doing our best to adhere to His word, as much as we know to do, that which is right.

1 Peter 2:9-11 NASB But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. 11 Beloved, I urge you as foreigners and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts, which wage war against the soul.

We are a chosen people, royal priests, a holy nation and God’s very own possession!!! We are to show God’s love and goodness by living our life in His light! We have to show that we are unlike the world. We are to be different in the way we think, act and especially love. Because we are also to love the unlovable, and yes, the society deemed, unworthy even (Luke 6 27-36)!  We are not to judge (Matthew 7:1). We are to live holy lives because the One who called us is holy (1 Peter 1:16). Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee when God’s  light shines through you (James 4:7).

We have a message to proclaim. God wants us out there sharing His good news (Matthew 28:19 & Romans 10:13-14), the great and glorious gospel. It will be a different story (same message) for everyone about how Jesus saved your soul. Not a different gospel, a different time you may have received it. Maybe you were at church, maybe you were out fishing, camping or even at the store shopping. The Lord works in many different ways. One of the best ways to tell others the message of the gospel that I have found is your testimony. Everyone has one about when they came to Christ. Share with them the reason you know that He is not dead. It is because He lives in your heart!!!!!! Then witness, tell them you can show them how he can live in theirs as well. If you need help use my blog that I put at the end of every one of my posts, which says, to know Jesus better read the following. God be with you all. The church is on the move!

Pray with me please,

You are awesome and amazing. Who is there like our God? I declare there is none like You. I shout hallelujah and I praise You for all of Your goodness and mercy. You are God alone and You are worthy to be praised. Thank You for everything You have done and continue to do for me. You outshine the sun. If we didn’t praise You the very rocks would cry out (Luke 19:40).

Thank You for giving us such immense power through Your name Jesus (Philippians 2:10). The great I Am living in me! To know that I am a child of the King, joint heirs with Jesus (Romans 8:17) and You have done it all because of Your great love for mankind (John 3:16). Thank You for loving us even when we are unlovable. Thank You for making the way for us through Your Son Jesus.

Let Your anointing fall and may the blinders that we have had on our eyes come off. Let us see, hear and receive the truth. Your truth, as outlined in Your word. We seek to honor You by adhering to Your word. Help us to shine bright because the world needs to see You in us, now more than ever before. Let us be able to give an answer to every person of the hope that we have from You (1 Peter 3:15). It is in Jesus’ precious name we ask (John 14:13). Amen.

We are instructed to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), so if there are any prayer requests feel free to leave them in the comment section. I would be honored to pray with you. If it is more private you can always contact me via email at I check that every day. Blessings to you all, till we meet again, tomorrow, if the Lord is willing. Peace.
