Social Saturday

Rest in the truth of God’s word today. Relax and let Him shower over you with His love, comfort and strength. I ask you to give the Lord at least 5 minutes today to bathe in His presence. He is our help and comfort. He will hear and deliver us. He loves us with an unrestrained love.

1 Thessalonians 5:9-11 NLT For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us. 10Β Christ died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when he returns, we can live with him forever. 11Β So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.

I have been thinking a lot on how we are to encourage and build one another up. We should be strengthening, upholding, fervent in prayer for and all out lavishing love on one another (James 5:15-16). While I was pondering these things, I decided we should have a Social Saturday. A time together to share with one another. It can be a scripture,Β  a song, or perhaps a story that you’d like to share. Maybe you have a link to your favorite Christian comedians. We can all share something. Anything at all, that you feel would be encouraging to your brothers and sisters in Christ. Let’s open up in these comments and share with one another.

Pray with me please

Here we are Father,

Your beautiful sheep who are made beautiful because of You. It is because of Your great Light and Your great Love that we shine so bright and do good things. We gather before Your throne and we are anxious to be with You. Please, speak to us Father. Help us to open our hearts, in this way, to one another. To rest and to encourage, is to follow Your word. Help us to be doers and not hearers only (James 1:22). May we bring You pleasure in the things we say. We love You Lord. Let us all, leave from here, saying, it was good to be in Your presence and around fellow believers. Receive all the glory. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

As always…We are instructed to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), so if there are any prayer requests feel free to leave them in the comment section. I would be honored to pray with you. If it is more private you can always contact me via email at luckd61@yahoo.com I check that every day. Blessings to you all, till we meet again, tomorrow, if the Lord is willing. Peace.

In this Sabbath rest today, I would like to hear from all of you. What are your thoughts? Does this seem like a cool way to interact with one another? May God’s anointing fall on us all.

We are so blessed to have so many good Christian groups now. There are so many songs to choose from. I pray the Lord will bless those who are faithful to Him and share His truth in word and song, for His glory. I will start with a couple of songs that I love,

  2. Good morning Donna, I look forward to a quiet day. I feel peace on this Holy Saturday, where Jesus was laid to rest in the tomb, no more pain. And the anticipation of Him being risen on Easter Sunday. ✝️ Love, Marla

    1. I don’t know if I dare say or not, he has one called Christian cuss words. That one is hilarious. Of course, they aren’t really bad. I listen to it almost every day as I care for a lady who has dementia and she likes watching it. That is one video that she still laughs at. I almost posted it, but didn’t want anyone to get the wrong impression. Maybe someday God will tell me it is wrong, but as of now I haven’t received that from Him.
God bless you friend. I hope your day was restful. We were fortunate to have a family outing. My husband, our 2 younger daughters and myself went on a bike ride. It was nice and refreshing.
I am just working on some blogs now, trying to organize them. I have been helping different ladies, so I decided to have them a bit more organized so I can find the one I need for the situation I am trying to help with. Well I don’t know why, but you got to here all of my day LOL. Hugs to you! ❀

      1. Thank you for this lovely message, Donna. It’s great to hear more about what you do. I am definitely going to look up that video with the Christian cuss words! Lol πŸ˜‚ Sounds like something that would be useful to me. 😊
Having a family bike ride sounds wonderful. Nothing would entice Billy (the hubs) back on a bike since the time he rode to work when the car was in the garage. He had to get a lift home after work!
        Have a beautiful Easter Sunday.
        He is risen! πŸ™ŒπŸ’ž

      2. It was a fun bicycle ride. I enjoy being outdoors so much! Why did your hubby have to get a ride home after work? Was it a really long ride? Have a beautiful Easter Sunday as well my friend, fellow blogger and sister in Christ. Hallelujah, He is risen!

      4. We went to a few of his concerts, like different years. Well I thought it would just be the same things, but it wasn’t. He had different material. He is so funny. He had the whole audience roaring with laughter. He didn’t quit in his performance. He just went from one joke to another. My face hurt so much from laughing! I was in between our aunt and my husband, right? Our aunt kept nudging me, saying did you hear that? Of course I heard it, I got so tired of being poked that I put my arm up around her LOL. I was like, well now I know she won’t be poking there! πŸ˜€ There were people in the audience of all ages and everyone was laughing. Oh, what a great release! I am glad you liked him. I hope your day is as wonderful as you are my dear friend ❀ Happy Easter!
