What does the word of God say about being tempted and what we are to do about it? Let’s have a look.
Philippians 4:13 NLT For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
This verse gives us such hope. No matter what the temptation is, just repeat this verse.
Romans 8:1-2 NLT So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
Because we belong to Jesus, the power of the life giving Spirit has freed us from the power of sin!
1 Corinthians 10:12-13 NLT If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. 13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
We are all tempted, the temptations are no different than anyone else gets tempted with. The good news here? GOD is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. That is His word, His promise and everything He says is truth. The problem is that His dear children do not know His word.
If you are burdened by temptation come pray with me,
Father,
You are so good to us, your children. You are love! You are mercy! You are strength! Thank You for being so kind to all of us. I come to you today Lord, asking for Your help with any and all temptations that come to me. There is no temptation that has come to me Lord, that You will not provide an escape. I just need to turn to You. Right now, in Jesus name, I ask You to remove the temptation that Is haunting me. For Father, it seems more than I can bear. You have said in Your word that You will show me a way out. I claim that in Jesus name. I ask You to loose more of Your Word and Holy Spirit in my life. Give me the power and strength I need to defeat this giant. I lay it at Your feet. I believe that I can do all things through Christ and I will choose to trust You and Your word. Help me to grow in You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Say this out loud.
