What’s Next God?

Growth. Grow, grow, did I mention, grow? There has to be growth in our Christian life. We get saved by the blood of Christ and we want to know, ‘Now what God?’  What do You want me to do? I believe as Christ followers, we are to grow. Keep growing, continue learning, dive deeper, any way you want to put it, the message is the same. Don’t stay where you are. Your feet are on the Rock! Now go and produce fruit, but continue moving and growing.

Some Bible verses about growth are:

2 Peter 3:17-18 NLT You already know these things, dear friends. So be on guard; then you will not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people and lose your own secure footing. 18 Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.

Luke 17:5 NLT The apostles said to the Lord, “Show us how to increase our faith.”

1 Peter 2:2-3 NLT Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, 3 now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness.

Cry out for the nourishment of pure spiritual milk! I think I will cry out to the Lord for that. Think about it. We never quit learning. There is so much to breathe in from the Lord.

Pray with me please

 Lord,

Please give me the nourishment of pure spiritual milk. I want more, Lord. I want to walk closer to You. I want everything I say and everything I do to be pleasing to You. You are my Redeemer, Friend and Confidant. Everything You say is right. When You speak to me, I know that what You say is true. You have no motives, no trickery or schemes to get my love. You got it honestly, by showing Your great love for me on the cross (John 3:16). That is why I love You, because You first loved me and gave your life for my ransom. I just do Lord, I just love you wholeheartedly. Test me and see if there is any wicked way in me. If there is please remove it and give me more of You (Psalm 139:23-24). There is nothing I can’t do through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13). You will say to my spirit, This is the way walk in it (Isaiah 30:21). You will tell me to go to the right or the left and I will answer, yes Lord. I will trust in You for You are my God. You are Lord of lords and King of kings. My Savior, the One in whom I can fully trust. There is no-one any greater than You. No-one who deserves praise but You. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done. Let me be Your faithful servant always. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Colossians 1:9-10 NLT So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10 Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.

So we have not stopped praying for you. I think that is why the Lord had me do this blog differently than normal. I am at His disposal. The scriptures that I use are the very words of God.

Grow as we learn to know God better and better! Isn’t that just beautiful? We can get closer and closer to God. The more we pray, read our Bibles and walk in His way. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). Diligently defined is attentive and persistent in doing something. Are we attentive and persistent in our pursuit of God? Does He hear us calling to Him every day, first thing in the morning, and with the passing of every moment? Are we crying out over injustices? Are we seeking His face as the beautiful sun kisses our cheeks and the wind blows across our face in the enjoyment of our daily walks or biking, or any other activities? He requires first place in our lives. Read my blog First of The Ten Commandments to see what the Lord requires of us.

All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. That is the cry of my heart.

The Bible says to pray always (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Lord God Jehovah-Jireh hear my cry. First thing in the morning I come to You (Psalm 5:3). I seek Your wisdom. The wisdom that is from above. I need You in all my ways. I need Your direction, Father. I want to grow and to know You better and better. Your word says, I will find You when I seek You with all of my heart. (Deuteronomy 4:29) With all of my heart, I am seeking You, Lord. There is nothing better than to be in Your presence. Oh, Lord, in my surrender, You take me higher. I feel blessed in Your presence, so, yes, draw me nearer is my cry. Oh, how I love Jesus! Oh how I love Jesus. Oh, how I love Jesus because You first loved me. I can’t even begin to imagine what You went through on the cross. Every time I start to think of the pain You endured for my sins, I tear up. Forgive us, Father,  for the wrongs we have done, for indeed, we know not what we have done. Just draw us in to Your sweet presence. Let us rest on Your shoulder. Leaning on Jesus, Leaning on Jesus….that is where we will be safe and secure leaning on the everlasting arms. Thank You, Father. We pray in Jesus’ name.

Colossians 1:28 NLT So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ.

Dare I say perfect how? By growing! By realizing we will never be perfect (Romans 3:10-12). We just have to try to be (2 Corinthians 13:11) and stay committed to God (Proverbs 16:3). Stay committed to His purposes, plan and will for our life. There is so much to learn. So much to know about our Savior. One thing I know, this I will surely trust;  His word, His will and His way are always the right word, will and way to follow. When, and if, you are lost on the cascading billows of life’s sea and you cannot see the way through the storm, remember this, Our God calmed the sea (Mark 4:39). Won’t you let Him calm the sea in you?

Psalm 27:4-5 NIV One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord   all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord  and to seek him in his temple. 5 For in the day of trouble  he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.

Pray with me please,

Father,

You are so wise. You have given us some beautiful spiritual milk here. I pray that hearts everywhere, of the people reading, are softened and encouraged as You have done for mine as well. I love how You led me in a totally different format today, Father. Let it all be for Your glory. Helping Your children is just what You do. Thank You for using me. I am Yours, Lord, fully committed to serving You and bringing praise to Your name. Indeed, I once was lost, but now I am found was blind but now I see. You are good. Thank You for another day and another opportunity to shine for You. Shine through me, Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

We are instructed to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), so if there are any prayer requests feel free to leave them in the comment section. I would be honored to pray with you. If it is more private you can always contact me via email at luckd61@yahoo.com I check that every day. Blessings to you all, till we meet again, tomorrow, if the Lord is willing. Peace.
