Hope Is Alive

Jesus is our Hope. He is not dead! He is alive. What a blessed message of pure  hope. The Hope of God for all of humanity, to all who will believe. Believe what? Believe that God gave the world Jesus, so that by believing on Him, we are saved. That has to be first and foremost as fact. Then we can move on.

John 3:16-17 NASB “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

John 1:12  NASB But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name

Galatians 3:26-28 NASB For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is  neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

For more on baptism read my blog titled, What is Baptism https://thefathersfeet.wordpress.com/2021/04/07/what-is-baptism/

Now those who have clothed themselves with Christ are one in Him. So there shouldn’t be any more divisions. We are all saved by grace. God’s grace, His unmerited favor. So, now, we should be serving Him. Think about it for a minute. When we really love someone, aren’t we eager to speak to them, to hear from them, and to spend time with them? Don’t we look for ways to show that love? Don’t we want to try to make them happy?

Well, now that we are saved, we need to be trying to make the LORD happy. Spend time with Him in prayer, reading His word, sharing with those less fortunate, exemplifying  Christ like behavior, AND putting others needs before our own. Let’s shake things up a bit and really show the Lord we love Him! How? I have listed a few. Find out what His calling is on Your life and do it! Share the gospel! Feed the homeless. Help those suffering. Do something for someone who could never pay you back. Let’s look at what true and pure religion is according to the Bible.

James 1:27 NLT Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.

There are many ways to show the love of Christ in this world. Be creative. Ask the Lord to open your spiritual eyes to see any needs that you could provide. As always, I believe it’s the little things that matter.

Refuse to let the world corrupt you! There has to be changes in us, our hearts, minds and thoughts.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

Change will come as we meditate on the word of God and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us. He will speak to our heart. Don’t try to suppress Him or gloss it over anymore. When God speaks to you, then please listen. After hearing, it is imperative to obey (Acts 5:29, John 14:15).

Romans 15:13 NLT I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 6:10 NLT A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Pray with me please

Father,

Mere words could never say enough how great You are. Thank You, Lord, that even in the midst of pandemics, epidemics or tragedies of any kind, that You will provide all of us, who trust in Your name, with peace. The world, just by seeing that peace, will want to know how it is that we can have such peace. Lord, let it be another way we can witness to the lost, hurt, broken and dying in this world. Oh, Lord, that they would see You, in us, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).  We need You, Your power and strength. We need to be bold and speak the truth as outlined in Your word with power and conviction. Lord, I pray that You would speak through us to those that we can reach for Your kingdom, for Your power and glory. You are so amazing Lord. We can’t even fully say how amazing You are because we just don’t know the half of all that You are (1 Corinthians 2:9). With all of our hearts we cry holy,  holy, holy. You are holy. We love You and are submitted to Your calling on our lives. Father, please let Your will be done in each and every life reading this prayer and agreeing with me. As always, be glorified, for it is in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

We are instructed to bear one another’s burdens, (Galatians 6:2) so if there are any prayer requests feel free to leave them in the comment section. I would be honored to pray with you. If it is more private you can always contact me via email at luckd61@yahoo.com I check that every day. Blessings to you all, till we meet again, tomorrow, if the Lord is willing. Peace.
