Spiritual Wisdom

Ephesians 1:15-23 NLT

15 Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God’s people everywhere, 16 I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, 17 asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. 18 I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.

19 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power 20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. 21 Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. 22 God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. 23 And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.

Paul prayed for the Ephesians, asking God to give spiritual wisdom and insight, for the purpose growing in their knowledge of God. Whatever it is we think we know to be true of God, He is so much more, His ways are not our ways, nor are His thoughts our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8).  He is greater, higher, more worthy of all praise, than anyone, at any time, in human history.  So, pray to grow in our knowledge of Him. Pray for our hearts to be flooded with light so we can understand the hope He has given to His holy people.

Let’s agree with Paul and pray

Lord God, You are so great, merciful and mighty. Thank You for everything Lord, this day, time, breath, this very second….every single thing that can be named we give You thanks for. Father, today we ask for spiritual wisdom and insight so that we can grow in our knowledge of You. Oh Lord, indeed, that we would understand the greatness of Your power, that lives in us! The power that rose Christ from the grave lives in us! Thank You Lord for Your great power. Oh, that we would understand. Open our eyes Father, lead us in the way everlasting, for we put our hope and trust in You. It is in Jesus’ name we pray, the One who is seated at Your right side in the heavenly realms, the One who is above any ruler, authority, power, leader or anything else not only in this world but also in the world to come! Amen.

Oh how I love Jesus. Just speak His name, receive His power and promises. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Jesus over fear and rebellion. Jesus over temptation. Jesus over disease, sickness and death. Jesus over finances. Jesus over dysfunction. Jesus over divorce. Jesus whose name is above every name. Speak the name of Jesus. Listen and be set free today. Such power! Jesus over alcoholism. Jesus over pornography or any other addiction. JESUS help me! Receive His power today! Whom the Son has set free is free indeed! Walk in the fullness of His power!

John 1:12 KJV But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name

We are instructed to bear one another’s burdens, (Galatians 6:2) so if there are any prayer requests feel free to leave them in the comment section. I would be honored to pray with you. If it is more private you can always contact me via email at luckd61@yahoo.com I check that every day. Blessings to you all, till we meet again, tomorrow, if the Lord is willing. Peace.

    1. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment. Funny but sad as well only walking from the bedroom to the kitchen. I am reminded of encouraging words my sister always told me, “this too shall pass ” looks like Abraham Lincoln said it originally. Only thing that will remain is the word of God. Thank God that even our steps, as limited as they may be, are ordained by God. He is with us, walking through this. We will make it by His power and strength. God bless (((Jan))) ♡♡♡ hugs from Wisconsin ♡♡♡
