Breathe Deeply

Hebrews 4:12-13 NLT

12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.

Ephesians 4:31-32 NLT

31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. 32 Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

Breathe in, oh child of the most holy God of all creation, breathe in the word of God. We need to breathe in more of the Lord, more of His will and way and as we inhale more of God’s grace and unmerited favor, we find freedom to live fully in Christ. The closer we are to Christ, the more we will be able to get rid of all bitterness, envy, jealousies and divisions (1 Peter 2:11). We are not perfect, this is a fact found in scripture (Romans 3:10). But scripture also teaches us to walk in our freedom. Freedom to die to the flesh and walk in the Spirit (Romans 8:13). It is a choice, a daily, moment by moment choice. Choose to say yes to Christ or choose to say no. Always everyday, in every way we have a choice. As Christ followers, we should want to do the right things for the right reasons. Sometimes we may fail and fall down, but that’s where mercy, grace and compassion come in.

I can’t find who said the following but it is so true. Do nothing you wouldn’t be doing when Jesus comes. Say nothing you wouldn’t be saying when Jesus comes. Wear nothing that you wouldn’t be wearing when Jesus comes. Listen to nothing that you wouldn’t be listening to when Jesus comes.

Proverbs 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.

From personal experience I have found,  the closer you are to Christ, the happier, more peaceful, and stronger you become. It is not you, but Christ working through you (Galatians 2:20).  He is amazing. When you love Him so much and invite Him in to dine with you, you build your relationship with Him. You grow into such  an incredible thing of beauty. He is able to then use you more and more. Oh, please breathe in more of Jesus with me. Breathe in His kindness, breathe in His love, breathe in His mercy, breathe in His grace, breathe in His compassion and breathe in His forgiveness. Then He will be like a river running through you and when you exhale you will be exhaling Christ’s love, mercy, grace, compassion and forgiveness to others around you and they will see Jesus in you. What a great an honorable thing to show, to represent Christ on this earth (2 Corinthians 5:20). Breathe Him in, brothers and sisters, breathe Him in. He longs for a close relationship with us. He is there with arms open wide saying, “Come.”

“Just A Closer Walk With Thee”

I am weak but thou art strong

Jesus, keep me from all wrong

I’ll be satisfied as long

As I walk, let me walk close to Thee

Just a closer walk with thee

Grant it, Jesus, is my plea

Daily walking close to thee

Let it be, dear Lord, let it be

When my feeble life is o’er

Time for me shall be no more

Guide me gently, safely o’er

To thy kingdom’s shore, to thy shore

When life’s sun sinks in the west

Lord, may I have done my best

May I find sweet peace and rest

In that happy home of the blessed

Just a closer walk with thee

Grant it, Jesus, is my plea

Daily walking close to thee

Let it be, dear Lord, let it be

Pray with me please

Dearest and most holy Lord of all creation,

You are the Only God. You are the One who created everything into existence and still You desire a close walk with us. You gave Your everything when You hung on that cross. There is nothing else that we need to do except believe. We thank You for Your great love. Father, today we ask You to help us to be stronger in our faith. We ask You to help us set aside time to know You better. We ask You to increase in us, that we may decrease. Father, draw us nearer to You. Help us to live our lives in such a way that it is pleasing to You. Let a strong desire to know You more come into our hearts and minds, so that we are so full of You that You shine forth from us with wisdom, peace, love, mercy, strength and power that only a life fully surrendered to You can provide. May we love You above all and show that love to others around us. Wrap Your arms of love around us today and help us to breathe You in all during our days. In Jesus’ name we pray.

We are instructed to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), so if there are any prayer requests feel free to leave them in the comment section. I would be honored to pray with you. If it is more private you can always contact me via email at luckd61@yahoo.com I check that every day. Blessings to you all, till we meet again, tomorrow, if the Lord is willing. Peace.
