The Just, Faith, Grace and Mercy

Hebrews 10:38 NLT Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”

Just defined is confined to high moral standards; honest.

Faith defined is to have complete trust or confidence in someone or something. So those who are honest will live by complete confidence in God. We can’t do this life on our own. We need His power, strength and provision.

The Bible has a definition of faith as well.

Hebrews 11:1 NLT Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.

I always heard that saying, If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything, by Peter Marshall. It is good, sound advice. We have to make choices, take a stand, do what is right for the right reasons. Little did I know it was, kind of, in the Bible. How cool is that?

Isaiah 7:9 NIV The head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is only Remaliah’s son. If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.'”

James 2:19-20 NLT You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God.[f] Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. 20 How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless?

Here we see more evidence that a Spirit-filled life will produce good fruits. Also, in the following, you see that you can’t do good works to earn salvation. If your motive is that, let me just say, it is wrong. We need to just live our life submitted to the Lord. He will accomplish what He wants through our yielded lives. We produce fruit as we submit to Him. We don’t produce fruit ourselves to get to Him. That is a free gift He has given (John 3:16). We produce fruit while yielded to Him.

Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Lamentations 3:22-23 NIV Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his com passions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Thank God for His mercy, grace and compassion. he knows that we all fail and fall short of His glory. He has made a way for all of us. He will pick us back up, over and over again. He never gives up on us. He loves us more than we could ever understand.

Father, You know our needs before we ask. You are concerned with every aspect of our lives. You are there for us. You always care and help. Even when we don’t see it. Your love surrounds us. Thank You for Your great provision and protection. Because of Your great love we are not consumed. Your mercy extends through generations of those who love You. I just want to thank You for everything. EVERY SINGLE THING I thank You for, things seen and unseen. Draw me in closer to You Lord. What better prayer is there, than to be closer to You? I rest in the shadow of Your wing. Your great love cascades around me, enveloping me and I can’t get enough. The closer I get to You, the closer I want to get to You. Take me deeper in my walk with You Lord. Let my spiritual eyes be opened. Move in and through me changing me from glory to glory. I will give you all of the praise, for it is in Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen.

We are instructed to bear one another’s burdens, (Galatians 6:2) so if there are any prayer requests feel free to leave them in the comment section. I would be honored to pray with you. If it is more private you can always contact me via email at luckd61@yahoo.com I check that every day. Blessings to you all, till we meet again, tomorrow, if the Lord is willing. Peace.
