Watch Where You Step

There is a war going on. Christians are in a battlefield. Make no mistake, satan is out there and he is actively engaging in schemes and plots to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10). The word of God tells us this. We have protection available to us from the Father. Read the following to see more about our Armor.

https://thefathersfeet.wordpress.com/2020/03/01/the-struggle-is-real/

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 NLT We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. 4 We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. 5 We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.

Proverbs 23:7a NKJV For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

Proverbs 16:32 NKJV He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.

Isaiah 26:3 NKJV You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

Romans 8:5-8 NKJV For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Colossians 1:19-23 NKJV

Reconciled in Christ

19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled 22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— 23 if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

2 Cor 4:4 NLT

Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

Holy Spirit can open your eyes to the truth if you will allow Him.

James 1:5-8 NLT

5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6 But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. 7 Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.

A choice must be made. We have free will. It is our decision. It is my prayer that we would choose wisely. If any man lacks wisdom let him ask of God! (James 1:5)

Matthew 7:13-14 NLT

13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

The thing is we will have impure thoughts. That is where it has to stop! That’s when we ask God to take those thoughts away. We pray immediately to the Father and He helps us. We can have release from the garbage. The thing is, what will we choose to dwell on? The bad thoughts or the word of God? Now, more than ever, we need to focus on His word, all of it. We need to dwell on, not just bits and pieces, but the whole of His word. His word is able to transform our hearts and minds! So when jealousy, anger or passion enter in, choose to say no. Choose to say, “get away from me satan.” Fill your mind and thoughts with the word of God. Listen to Christian music. Do not succumb to the flesh, rather we must (through Christ) master it (Philippians 4:13, 1 John 4:4).

RENEWED and TRANSFORMED

Romans 12:2 NLT Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Ephesians 4:23 NLT Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.

Philippians 2:5 NASB Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus

Repent (feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one’s wrongdoing or sin),say you are sorry to God, change your mind (thoughts), lifestyle and direction. If you are heading in the wrong way with any of these just stop, assess (read God’s word), make necessary adjustment (prayer) and move in the direction that the Lord leads you. You have a choice. Walk with the world or choose to serve God (1 John 1:6).

Romans 8:6 NASB For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace

2 Peter 3:1 NKJV Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder)

Proverbs 30:5-6 NLT Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.6 Do not add to his words, or he may rebuke you and expose you as a liar.

Lord God, Jehovah-jireh, my Provider, Great and holy art Thou, oh, Lord! My soul delights in You. I love and long to spend time with You in Your word and in prayer. There is nothing and no-one more wonderful, than spending time with You, in this whole world. There are no riches, no places, no imaginings of any person, at any time in human history, that could ever compare to the immense greatness with which You are. You are holy, righteous, loving and true. Praise You Lord! Let my praise reach your throne. Be glorified in my life and in all the lives of everyone reading. May we all shine forth as Your beacons of hope, love and mercy in this fallen world. Lord, correct us when we are wrong in our thinking or imaginings. Let us walk in a way that is pleasing to you. Please help us to deny ourselves, pick up our cross and follow You. May we follow You wholeheartedly. May we exemplify Christlike behavior at all times and in all circumstances. We surrender to Your will for our lives. Let us walk in the perfect center of it. In Jesus’ name we pray.

We are instructed to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), so if there are any prayer requests feel free to leave them in the comment section. I would be honored to pray with you. If it is more private you can always contact me via email at luckd61@yahoo.com I check that every day. Blessings to you all, till we meet again, tomorrow, if the Lord is willing. Peace.

  1. Brilliant, Donna! It’s true … we’re not just in a struggle – it’s full-blown warfare and need to be alert to the devices and tricks that satan uses to distract us from the Lord. We really do need to focus on God’s Word and what is good and right. Anything else can prove dangerous to our souls. Staying alert (sounds like our governments advice during Covid!) is vital because satan’s wily ways can easily overcome us without us being aware.
    Thanks Donna! x

    1. Yes, now more than ever we need to be in the word of God, seeking His wisdom for our path. He is so good. He has provided us with everything that we need. We just need to draw near to Him. Pull the blanket of His love around us so tight and dwell in His presence.
Sending you lots of love. Thanks for the comment. ♡
