Hope In God

Life is a journey. There is a season for everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). Everyone gets scared. Right now the whole world seems to be scared of Coronavirus. Fear is running rampant. Why do you think it is recorded so many times in the word of God to fear not? Fear is damaging. Satan knows that and he will use it to his advantage. Do not let him win. It is a battlefield of the mind. Take control back. Speak the truth. Read the word of God out loud. Speak it over your home, life and family. Take back your joy and peace. I do my posts for sometimes a week in advance. This post was already written when I saw a fellow blogger had put this same scripture out in their blog. I find it amazing that the Holy Spirit works and confirms His message in so many ways, through different people in different parts of the world. The message is clear. Hope in God.

Psalm 121 NLT I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? 2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! 3 He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. 4 Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. 5 The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. 6 The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. 7 The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. 8 The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

The Lord is watching all the time. He knows everything that is going on. Have faith and believe in Him. God has it all in control. He has not abdicated His throne. Trust Him. Change your focus. Be kingdom minded not worldly minded. We have to have faith. The Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:6)

Romans 8:6-7 KJV

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Where is our focus? Our focus needs divine focus. We have to lift up our eyes to see where our help comes from! Our help comes from the Lord.

Lord God, Almighty maker of heaven, we praise You for who You are, for the goodness You embody. Thank You for picking us up, time and time again. May we stay on the straight and narrow way, with You Lord. May our thoughts, ways and actions be pleasing in Your sight. Thank You for Your protection. I pray that we would be able to speak Your word in all sincerity and boldness. Give us Your strength, Lord, to accomplish that which You have set us apart, from before our time began, to do. You don’t sleep. You are always working all things together for our good. You are the Holy One of Israel. Nothing is too hard for You. We ask You to direct our lives, that we would go, and be the people that You created us to be. Help us to honor Your name with our life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

We are instructed to bear one another’s burdens, (Galatians 6:2) so if there are any prayer requests feel free to leave them in the comment section. I would be honored to pray with you. If it is more private you can always contact me via email at luckd61@yahoo.com I check that every day. Blessings to you all, till we meet again, tomorrow, if the Lord is willing. Peace.

  1. I’m not so much scared, Donna … just terribly sad at all the lives lost and the sad stories that go with them.

    1. Might be time to disconnect from whatever source that is feeding you all of the sad stories. Focus on God. That is what the message is for 2020. Perfect vision is seeing life through His lens of love. Lots of love being sent to you in Jesus name. ♡ Donna Marie ♡

      1. ‘seeing life through His lens of love’ – that’s why the outpouring of grief at the moment makes me sad, Donna. I don’t think we can turn our backs on it. 💝

      2. It isn’t turning our backs when we protect our eyes from seeing too much of the bad in the world. It is just unplugging and refreshing in the word. We need to draw our strength from the Lord at this time.
I admire your strong conviction. Maybe the Lord is laying it on your heart to open the eyes of many. I do not know. Just stay in prayer and in His presence sister.
I believe in the ark they were sheltered from seeing all of the violent waves and destruction around them, as also those who were saved in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, but they were told ‘don’t look back.’
I am not sure what God wants you to do with the suffering and heartbreak that you see, other than give it to Him. Perhaps you are in a better position to help others by writing about it or however else the Lord lays it on your heart. I do know that you are very sensitive and I think that is wonderful for the kingdom of God. I love that your heart is right there.
There is just so much heartbreak that a person can see before they burn out. I remember when I prayed so hard for Terry Schiavo and was extremely depressed after that ruling and quit watching TV news altogether. Because I believed for her and prayed for her. It hurt so much when the death by starvation ruling was handed to her.
I just don’t like to see you hurt. It is like being in the middle of a war and all around you is the dead soldiers on the field, all you see is blood, despair, and brokenness.
All I am saying is to make sure you are getting more from the Lord in His word, than you allow of the negative. Feed your soul some good. That is all I meant by unplugging.
I hope you have the best day ever. I am here and I care. I also am pointing you to the One who cares more than I ever could and is always waiting to help His children when they need His arms of love to be wrapped around them. ❤ Love and hugs ❤ in Christ, your sister, Donna. 🙂
