Don’t Quit

Philippians 1:6 NLT And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

Hebrews 12:1-4 NLT Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. 3 Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up. 4 After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin.

Deuteronomy 31:6 NLT So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.

Hebrews 10:39 NIV But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.

Nahum 1:7 NLT

The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.

Numbers 23:19 NLT God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?

Three things to remember child of the most high God

•    He is with us. He has promised He would never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).  Emmanuel means God with us (Matthew 1:23).
•   Encourage yourself (Proverbs 18:10).
•   Memorize scripture  (Psalm 119:11, Colossians 3:16).

What promises of the Lord can you claim today?  Follow His news, the Holy Bible.

 Jesus tells us the problem is we don’t know scripture.

 Matthew 22:29 NLT Jesus replied, “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know  the power of God.”

Father,

You are so holy and righteous. Every word of Yours is true. We can draw our power and strength from Your word. Thank You for giving us everything that we need from Your precious word. Thank You for Your love for us, (in providing encouragement), through Your blessed word. Please, help us all to find our courage and strength there. Wrap Your arms of love around us as we sit in Your presence, longing to know You more. Oh, God, I pray that you give everyone reading the exact scripture that they need to spur them on to love and good works. May we go about our days taking You with us. It is such a blessing to be in Your presence. You are awesome, holy and good. You are great and greatly to be praised. We worship You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
