Father, Please open our eyes to the truth of Your word. In Jesus’ name.
Ecclesiastes 3 NASB
A Time for Everything
There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every matter under heaven—
2 A time to give birth and a time to die;
A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.
3 A time to kill and a time to heal;
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
4 A time to weep and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn and a time to dance.
5 A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing.
6 A time to search and a time to give up as lost;
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
7 A time to tear apart and a time to sew together;
A time to be silent and a time to speak.
8 A time to love and a time to hate;
A time for war and a time for peace.
9 What benefit is there for the worker from that in which he labors? 10 I have seen the task which God has given the sons of mankind with which to occupy themselves.
God Set Eternity in the Heart of Mankind
11 He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, without the possibility that mankind will find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.
12 I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one’s lifetime; 13 moreover, that every person who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor—this is the gift of God. 14 I know that everything God does will remain forever; there is nothing to add to it and there is nothing to take from it. And God has so worked, that people will fear Him. 15 That which is, is what has already been, and that which will be has already been; and God seeks what has passed by.
16 Furthermore, I have seen under the sun that in the place of justice there is wickedness and in the place of righteousness there is wickedness. 17 I said to myself, “God will judge the righteous and the wicked,” for a time for every matter and for every deed is there. 18 I said to myself regarding the sons of mankind, “God is testing them in order for them to see that they are as animals, they to themselves.” 19 For the fate of the sons of mankind and the fate of animals is the same. As one dies, so dies the other; indeed, they all have the same breath, and there is no advantage for mankind over animals, for all is futility. 20 All go to the same place. All came from the dust and all return to the dust. 21 Who knows that the spirit of the sons of mankind ascends upward and the spirit of the animal descends downward to the earth? 22 I have seen that nothing is better than when a person is happy in his activities, for that is his lot. For who will bring him to see what will occur after him?
Be at peace, even when our world is shaken, in spite of when it is in turmoil, even if it is on fire. How? By keeping our eyes fixed on God (Hebrews 12:2). We need to put Him first! His will and way first! In every word we say, He is first! In our daily walk wherever we go, whatever we do or say, He needs to be first. If you can legit say that He is first, in even your thoughts, then we are doing good. Remember, we will stand before Him and give account of all that we have done on this earth, whether good or bad (2 Corinthians 5:10).
I know we are hurt right now. It seems the division is working as long as our eyes are on the world. We know that satan wants nothing more than to cause division. He will do it any way he can. Remember he is a liar and a thief and he is out to kill, steal and destroy (John 8:44, and 10:10).
We need to seek the Lord now more than ever (Isaiah 55:6), What would God want us to be doing, saying and thinking? I can tell you it is not hate that He wants. I know that for a fact. Look up scriptures, Jesus was all about love. He said to hang all of the commandments on loving God and loving each other (Matthew 22:40)! We will never fix what happened to George Floyd by hate. See my post titled, Yes America Sadly Racism Still Exists
https://thefathersfeet.wordpress.com/2020/05/29/yes-america-racism-sadly-still-exists/ We can only trust that the men involved in his senseless death will be punished by the law and the Lord, if they do not cry out for His mercy. They will have a terrible fate in the lake of fire if they do not ask Jesus for forgiveness. For more about hell see my post titled, ‘Hell’ https://thefathersfeet.wordpress.com/2020/04/10/hell/
Jesus, our merciful Lord and Savior, died for the sins of mankind.
Who are we to judge others? (Luke 6:37) The Father has given all judgement to the Son. (John 5:22) We are merely to love. That is our new command. (John 13:34) We need to walk, act and talk in love. Love will cover a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8) I know some might not like this post but it is true. There is not any time for violence when we are walking towards the kingdom of heaven. George Floyd’s death was senseless. We will need to talk about it for a while and others that were untimely taken from us.
Please take a moment to remember the following men and woman: pray for their families, pray for healing, pray that violence would cease….just pray.
In memory of:
George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Botham Jean, Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Amadou Diallo, Manuel Loggins Jr., Ronald Madison, Kendra James, Sean Bell, Alton Sterling and others. You will not be forgotten.
Pray with me please
I ask for Your forgiveness, as a nation, for the senseless and idiotic violence that caused the death of the aforementioned African American brothers and sister. There is blood on our hands and we need to repent. Forgive us, Lord. Father, oh merciful heavenly Father, I beg You for a shift in the heavenlies. I know people are hurting right now. Help my Christian brothers and sisters, (that just happen to be more beautifully tanned on the outside than me), to show love and mercy in this horrible time. Help them to see that violence is not the answer, that hatred just begets more hatred. I pray that there would be a massive amount of people that would turn to You because of the love that the people see displayed through those hurting the most. Only You can take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it for good. You have done it before and I know that You can do it again. The love that You give us is massive. Your love is so incredibly huge. I will never forget the sacrifice You paid on the cross, not just for my sins but for the sins of the world (John 3:16). You are good all the time and You are worthy of all praise. We lean on You right now for our wisdom and strength. Help us to help others as You would have us to help them. We are completely surrendered to Your will. God please bless and protect us all, as I know there is no racial bias with You. You love us all. Even when we were yet sinners Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). That is Your word Father. Let Your word go out and heal Your children for I pray this in Jesus’ name (Psalm 107:20). Amen.
We are instructed to bear one another’s burdens, (Galatians 6:2) so if there are any prayer requests feel free to leave them in the comment section. I would be honored to pray with you. If it is more private you can always contact me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org I check that every day. Blessings to you all, till we meet again, tomorrow, if the Lord is willing. Peace.
