Love and Devotion

Let’s not forget who we are in Christ. We are Christian’s. We are called to love. May your soul find rest and peace as you spend some time with me meditating on the word of God.

Matthew 22:36-40 NASB   “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”

John 14:15-21 NLT “If you love me, obey my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. 17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize Him. But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you. 18 No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you. 19 Soon the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Since I live, you also will live. 20 When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”

Pray with me please

Heavenly Father,

You are good. You are love. You are light and in You is no darkness. I praise You for who You are. You are awesome and more wonderful than we can even imagine. Father, we come before You humbly today, recognizing that we are all sinners saved by Your grace (Ephesians 2:8).  We are called to come out from the world and  be different (2 Corinthians 6:17). We are called to be holy as You are holy (1 Peter 1:15). Help us to be holy, Lord. Help us to die to the flesh and live in the Spirit (Romans 8:13). We need You now more than ever. We appeal to You for Your love, mercy and grace to come upon us in a mighty way. Let us experience the wave of a revival, in ourselves and in this world. Only You can heal, restore and give us hope. We are in desperate need of the infilling of Your Holy Spirit now. Bring peace, calm and deliverance oh mighty God of Israel, the Great I Am. We love You and are waiting for You to intervene on behalf of Your people. Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus. We need You, Lord. Come as You did for Moses and the Israelites, for Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, for Daniel, for David and for many others. All throughout scripture, You have always been there for Your children, caring, loving and defending Your children. We are Your children, Your people who are called by Your name, we are humbling ourselves and praying and declaring Your word which says that You will heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14).  We reach out to You today in and through the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

1 John 4 20-21 NLT If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? 21 And He has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.

We are instructed to bear one another’s burdens, (Galatians 6:2) so if there are any prayer requests feel free to leave them in the comment section. I would be honored to pray with you. If it is more private you can always contact me via email at luckd61@yahoo.com I check that every day. Blessings to you all, till we meet again, tomorrow, if the Lord is willing. Peace.
