North Star

North Star lyrics by Elle Limebear

Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

You, You are my constant

You’re the song that keeps on playing

Repeating in my head

You, You are my constant

Oh, You guide me like the North Star

Forever, my constant

Like the sun in the sky

Light the moon up at night

I know that You will be there

Like the ground on my feet

Like the air that I breathe

I know You will be there

In the motion of life

If I lift up eyes

I know that You will be there

You’ve been holding my heart

Right from the start

I know You will be there (I know You will be there)

You, You are my constant

You’re the song that keeps on playing

Repeating in my head

You, You are my constant

Oh, You guide me like the North Star

Forever, my constant

Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

How do we love in a world of hate? We turn to and trust completely in Jesus. He will help us. We need to keep our eyes on Him. Let’s look to scripture.

Matthew 5:44 NLT

But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!

Luke 6:27 NLT

But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you.

1 John 4:7-11 NLT

Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. 10 This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.

The Bible on hate

1 John 4:20 NLT

If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?

1 John 3:15 NLT

Anyone who hates another brother or sister is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don’t have eternal life within them.

What does God hate?

Proverbs 6:16-19 NLT

There are six things the Lord hates – no, seven things he detests: 17 haughty eyes,   a lying tongue,  hands that kill the innocent, 18 a heart that plots evil,   feet that race to do wrong, 19 a false witness who pours out lies,  a person who sows discord in a family.

How should we be talking?

Ephesians 4:29

Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

Pray with me please

Heavenly Father,

Thank You that You are my North Star, my constant. You are the One who has always been there, full of grace, love, mercy and truth. Your word empowers all who would believe. I pray that hearts today would be open and receptive to the truth of Your word. I ask You that other’s blindfolds would come off and that they would see the truth. You are truth. Help us to love our enemies and bless them. Help us to love one another and to show that love in our support of each other, that we would build one another up and not try to tear each other down. I pray that divisions would cease and that brotherly love would abound. Open our eyes to love as You have loved. Let everything we do or say be in the perfect center of Your will for our lives. We are here to honor You. Let us do that in our speech. Help us to love the unlovable and to show that love for You and Your love is what the world needs to see right now. May we be bold and courageous for Your names sake. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

We are instructed to bear one another’s burdens, (Galatians 6:2) so if there are any prayer requests feel free to leave them in the comment section. I would be honored to pray with you. If it is more private you can always contact me via email at I check that every day. Blessings to you all, till we meet again, tomorrow, if the Lord is willing. Peace.

Boast in the Lord

12 For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. 13 We, however, will not boast beyond measure, but within the limits of the sphere which God appointed us—a sphere which especially includes you. 14 For we are not overextending ourselvesContinue reading “Boast in the Lord”

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless before Him in love; 5 He predestined us to adoption as sons to Himself throughContinue reading “Accepted”

Joint-Heirs with Jesus

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did notContinue reading “Joint-Heirs with Jesus”

More Than Conquerors

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermoreContinue reading “More Than Conquerors”

Dead yet Alive

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ wasContinue reading “Dead yet Alive”
