2 Corinthians 1:18-22 NLT As surely as God is faithful, our word to you does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” 19 For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” He is the one whom Silas, Timothy, and I preached to you, and as God’s ultimate “Yes,” he always does what he says. 20 For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. 21 It is God who enables us, along with you, to stand firm for Christ. He has commissioned us, 22 and he has identified us as his own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment that guarantees everything he has promised us.
God is not fickle or in any way indecisive. Meaning that God doesn’t sit in heaven going back and forth saying yes I will do that, then saying, no I won’t do that same thing. He does what He says He will do. His promises are yes and amen! The following is by no means a comprehensive list. I have only shared a few promises. There are so many more in His word (the Bible). What are some of His promises that you are asking, and or, believing Him for? Please comment below.
Some Promises of God:
- He does love us
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
- He will strengthen and hold us
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
- He will keep us in peace
Isaiah 26: 3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
- He will never fail or abandon us
Deuteronomy 31:8 Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.
- He will instruct and guide us
Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
- He will fight for us
Exodus 14:14 The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.
- He will protect us
Isaiah 54:17 no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD.
- He will provide all of our needs
Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
Heavenly Father,
There is no reason in this world to not praise You. You have done so much for us. I say along with Paul in the book of Ephesians chapter one verse three, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. I praise You. I give You all honor and glory. You alone are worthy of our praise (Revelation 5:12). I sing and shout, crying out with all of my heart, that You are LORD and there is no other! You are who you say You are. You do not lie (Numbers 23:19). Every word You have spoken is true. I trust and believe in You. I agree with David in Psalm 20 verse seven, Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. You are our hope and strength. In You we have refuge from the storm. You have provided all of our needs. No good thing do You withhold from those whose walk is upright (Psalm 84:11). There are so many promises of Yours that are for our good. I believe that is why a lot of Your children are discouraged and disheartened, because they do not know Your word! Teach us to meditate on Your word and to claim Your promises! (Joshua 1:8) We continue to lift Your name on high through our worship. We love You Father. We pray asking You for enlightenment and as always we want a closer walk with You. Teach us to observe and follow Your will and Your way. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

I pray with you this morning, Donna. “Yes, Lord, Teach me to meditate on Your word and to claim Your promises! They are many and they are to be trusted. In You alone, Lord, I put my Trust. Thank You for loving me. Help me return that love to You and others abundantly. For You have taught me: the more I give away, the more I have. Thank You. Amen. “
