Do It For The Lord

Colossians 3:23 NLT  Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

Our Father in heaven,  may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need,  and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one. (Matthew 6:9-13 NLT) 

Thank You for the amazing example of prayer through Your Son Jesus Christ, our Savior. Indeed You are holy! We worship and adore You.  

We long for the day when You come, in Your glory, to receive us unto Yourself. Let Your will be done Lord! We submit to Your authority. We are yielded to You. Please have Your way in our lives, this country and this world.  

Thank You for always supplying us with all of our needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We praise and exalt You. 

  Thank You for teaching us how to forgive. Jesus, You were the example above all examples. I love and praise You for the sacrifice, mercy and love that You showed on the cross. May we, along with Jesus, always cry out, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do (Luke 23:34) instead of holding any offense.” Please forgive us for our sins as well. We know according to Your word that if we do not forgive men their sins, that You will not forgive us for our sins (Matthew 6:14-15). Lord we need forgiveness! We need Your mercy, so please help us to extend it as well. As we have been freely given we are to freely give (Matthew 10:5-8).   

Help us, Father, as we submit to You, to not yield ourselves to temptation. Help us to not satisfy the desires of the flesh, but rather walk wholeheartedly in submission to Your will and way for our lives (Romans 13:14). Lead and guide us with Your gentle Holy Spirit, so that we can walk in a way that is pleasing to You. You have said in Your word to resist satan and he will flee from us (James 4:7). Help us to resist him every day. In Jesus’ name we ask You all these things (John 14:13). Amen.
