Matthew 28:20 NLT
Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
Deuteronomy 31:6 NLT
So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
Psalm 27:4-6 NLT
The one thing I ask of the Lord—
the thing I seek most—
is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
delighting in the Lord’s perfections
and meditating in his Temple.
5 For he will conceal me there when troubles come;
he will hide me in his sanctuary.
He will place me out of reach on a high rock.
6 Then I will hold my head high
above my enemies who surround me.
At his sanctuary I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy,
singing and praising the Lord with music.
Dearest heavenly Father,
We exalt Your name on high. Thank You for Your goodness to Your children. We are Your special creation, a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9). We are sons and daughters of the most high King! (2 Corinthians 6:18) Thank You that You are always with us. You do not dwell in palaces made by hand (Acts 17:24). We know that You live in our hearts (Ephesians 3:17 & Romans 8:9-10).
Father, we know that You delight in loyalty over sacrifices (Hosea 6:6). Thank You for creating in us a hunger and desire to know You more and to grow in Your grace and righteousness (Matthew 5:6). On our own we can do nothing (John 15:5), but through You we can do all things (Philippians 4:13).
Help us to understand Lord what Paul wrote to the Corinthian church in chapter 3 verses 16 and 17; Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are. Help us to not destroy Your temple (our body) in any way. Speak to our hearts Father, so that we will honor You in this aspect of our life as well. I believe we can destroy Your temple with impure, thoughts and actions as well as many other things. I pray that each of us would examine our hearts before You and ask You sincerely to expose and remove anything that is not supposed to be in our thoughts, actions or attitudes. May we be pleasing to You and bring honor to You.
David sought in the above psalm to dwell in Your house all the days of his life. I, too want to dwell in Your house, delighting in Your perfections and meditating on Your word. I love You Lord and want only to hear You say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of Your Lord.” (Matthew 25:23) You are amazing and You deserve all of our praise, honor and respect. Please guide us in Your truth. In Jesus’ name we pray believing. Amen.
