Jesus Is The Answer

1 Why are the nations so angry?
Why do they waste their time with futile plans?
2 The kings of the earth prepare for battle;
    the rulers plot together
against the Lord
    and against his anointed one.
3 “Let us break their chains,” they cry,
“and free ourselves from slavery to God.

4 But the one who rules in heaven laughs.
    The Lord scoffs at them.
5 Then in anger he rebukes them,
terrifying them with his fierce fury.
6 For the Lord declares, “I have placed my chosen king on the throne
in Jerusalem, on my holy mountain.”
7 The king proclaims the Lord’s decree:
“The Lord said to me, ‘You are my son.
Today I have become your Father.
8 Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance,
the whole earth as your possession.
9 You will break them with an iron rod
and smash them like clay pots.’”

10Now then, you kings, act wisely!
Be warned, you rulers of the earth!
11 Serve the Lord with reverent fear,
    and rejoice with trembling.
12 Submit to God’s royal son, or he will become angry,
and you will be destroyed in the midst of all your activities—
for his anger flares up in an instant.
But what joy for all who take refuge in him!

Psalm 2 NLT

Dearest and most holy, wonderful Savior and Friend, most cherished, awesome and immensely loving Father, I adore You. Thank You for the wisdom found in Your word! In Your word we know we are to pray for our enemies (Luke 6:27-28), this world and also to pray for the elected officials (1 Timothy 2:1-2).

I pray for all of those who are against You, Lord. No matter what area of life they are in. I ask You to continue to speak to people’s hearts everywhere of their need for You. Oh God, You are the Only One who can fill that emptiness in all of our hearts, minds and souls. You complete us Father. That is Your desire! You died for the sins of mankind (John 3:16), to redeem us (Titus 2:14) and draw us into fellowship with You (1 Corinthians 1:9). I pray that many hearts would come to knowledge of You before it is too late. Open their eyes to the truth, Father  (Acts 26:18). I pray for a great awakening. It hurts me that people are rejecting You and You are THE ONLY ANSWER!

I pray for my Christian brothers and sisters who are feeling depressed, hurt or discouraged. Father, I ask You to give them strength. Give them discernment, hope and power to stand strong against the lies of the enemy. This is a very tough time in our world today for believers are being persecuted all over the globe. I ask You for the strength to sustain and to do so with such great joy and power, knowing that ours is the victory in Christ! (Romans 8:37) You will win in the end. You are victorious and what You have said will happen will happen. Please renew our strength and our resolve to follow You wholeheartedly, Lord. You are all that matters and our first and foremost focus needs to be on You. Help us to stay Kingdom minded (Matthew 6:33).

In this world that is full of uncertainty, one thing remains the same and that is You! Your word does not change. You are the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). We are Your children (1 John 3:2), Your prized possession (James 1:18). We can have joy, peace and security knowing that fact. We rejoice in You!  Jesus, You are the Way, the Truth and the Life! (John 14:6) You are the answer to every question. Oh, I praise You Lord. Thank You that even now I feel a gentle moving of Your Spirit deep within my soul. You are good and worthy of all praise! I glorify Your name! Hallelujah! All hail King Jesus! In whose name we pray, amen.
