Luke 10:27 NASB And he answered, “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND; AND YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”
Father,
We need You. Help us to be holy for You are holy. May we remember that friendship with the world is to be an enemy of Yours (James 4:4). We seek Your approval in all that we do. It is not peoples opinions that matter to us. What matters to us is Your favor. We seek Your face to accomplish Your will for our lives.
Help us to trust You for You supply all of our needs according to Your riches in heaven (Philippians 4:19). Thank You for wisdom and guidance. We do not have to be self seeking as the world says, we can be Jesus Seekers, fully engulfed in learning new ways to do more things for Your kingdom. This life is but a vapor, here for a time then vanishes (James 4:14). What is going to matter for all eternity is what we have done with the talents that You have given us (Matthew 25:14-30).
Help us to be friends with, not just each other, but with the hungry, widowed and orphans among us (James 1:27). In Jesus’ name.
