Soul Winners

We are called to be soul winners. We are to share with others the ‘Good News’ the ‘Gospel.’  What do you know to be true about Jesus? Are you saved? Do you know Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior? The following is what is called the Great Commission. This is what Jesus told the disciples:

Matthew 28:16-20 NASB   But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful. 18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

We become His followers when we accept Jesus into our hearts. If you haven’t accepted Jesus and want more information on the best decision you will ever make, please read my blog titled Believe and Receive

This post I am writing now is to show believers in Christ  how to share their faith with others by my sharing how I do it. This is a simple 3 Step formula. Pray, Go and Share!

  • Pray ahead of time. Pray for God to protect you and to lead you to where  and who He wants you to speak to. Pray that the Lord would open their eyes and let their hearts be receptive to His words that come from you.
  • Go. Take your bible and go! I like to have another person with me. One is to be silent and praying while the other is speaking. Jesus sent them out two by two (Mark 6:7 & Luke 10:1). Ecclesiastes 4:9 teaches us that two is better than one as well.

Read my blog titled You Never Let Us Go

This blog contains the Romans Road. Those are the verses to mark in your Bible so that you know how to get there easily.

  • Share by starting with John 3:16 and bookmark (for easy reference) to show the person that God loves them. Beside of that in your Bible write Romans 3:10 & 23,(we are all sinners) then after verse 23 write the next Romans 5:8 (Jesus paid the debt) beside of that write Romans 10:9-10 (salvation comes by confessing with our mouth and believing in our heart) and beside of verse ten write Romans 10:13 (Call on the Lord to get saved).  That way you can lead a person to salvation through that book. At the end you can ask if they now want to accept Jesus. Have a simple Sinners prayer with you for them to say which they can repeat after you but must be meant with all of their heart.  I have in yesterdays blog titled, Love For All, a nice Sinner’s prayer that you can copy to use if necessary. https://thefathersfeet.wordpress.com/2020/08/01/love-for-all/

What I do is approach the person I feel led to talk to and I say, “If you were to die right now are you 100 percent sure you are going to heaven?” Let them say yes or no. If yes then  praise the Lord! If no then I would say, “Would you mind if I shared with you according to the Bible how you can be saved? Then you will know for certain that if you were to die you would go to heaven.” I mean there are so many different ways. We have to start talking. If that seems too much for you, try a different approach. Say, “Hi, my name is (whatever your first name is) I am out talking to people today about Jesus. Do you know Him?” If it is someone close to us, I like to start with, “Listen, I won’t keep telling you this, but I really believe in heaven and I believe there is a literal hell as well and I would like to share with you at least one time what I believe. Would that be okay?” Anything that the Lord lays on your heart to reach the people. He loves us all so much and is not willing for any to perish (2 Peter 3:9). You could even start talking about how Jesus saved you. So, dear Christian, don’t be silent any more. Go and tell!

Any questions please do not be afraid to ask me either in comments section or through my email at luckd61@yahoo.com Thanks so much for reading and may the Lord bless you as you lead someone to Christ! What a wonderful feeling.

Luke 15:7 NIV I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

Dearest and most holy, heavenly Father,

You are good. You are light. You are everything wonderful to us. We adore You. We want to be Your children in word and deed (Colossians 3:17). Help us to be emboldened to reach the lost. People are dying without You, Lord. Let it not be because we were silent! Let us tell everyone we know that we know Jesus. It will take Your Holy Spirit to make us brave and launch out in Your power (Acts 1:8). I pray that many will come to You because of the instructions that You gave for us to go into all the world. May we be doers of Your word along with being a hearer (James 1:22). Let nothing stand in the way of us accomplishing Your mission on this earth. For it is in Jesus’ name we pray believing. Amen!
