Matthew 24:9-14 NASB
9 “Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. 10 At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. 12 Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. 14 This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Father God,
We, Your children, need You. We need Your help and guidance more now than ever before. The time we are living in is such a tremendously dark time. Help us to keep our eyes focused on You. Lord, how it must break Your heart, the state of the world today. Please forgive the people Lord. They have just been lied to and have believed a false narrative. Lead them to the truth in Your word. Father, I know that You are a God of love, mercy and compassion, yet also, The God of Judgement. I just plead for mercy on this land for Your names sake. Show Your great power. Awaken the slumbering souls. I ask You for a great awakening.
We so need an outpouring of Your love in our own lives. The time to get right with You is now! May we love the way You would have us to love. Let us be so different than the world, in that, we wouldn’t retaliate evil for evil, but rather we would react like Jesus did when He said, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”
Most people’s love will grow cold, but ours, Your children, doesn’t have to be. In fact, it should never be cold in us. I am calling for Your great love. Let it start in me. Right here, right now, may Your great love be evidenced in my life, by my words and actions. May I shine so bright for Your glory. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
