Gone

Matthew 24:36-41 NASB “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. 37 For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left.

Listen people, we need to be ready. There should not be envying, jealousy, hatred, sorcery, witchcraft, lying, doubting, idolatry, adultery or murdering. The Bible is clear that those who do such will not inherit the kingdom of heaven (Galatians 5:19-21 & Revelation 22:15). Jesus is coming soon (Revelation 22:7). We don’t know when, but we are told to be ready (Matthew 24:44).

Repent, turn from all evil ways (2 Chronicles 7:14). Get down on your knees (spiritually) before the Lord (1 Peter 5:6). Beg Him for enlightenment, and get yourself cleaned up. Today is the day to serve Him with all of your heart (Hebrews 3:15). Lean not on your own understanding but acknowledge God and He will direct your path (Proverbs 3:5-6). The Lord loves you. He gave His life for you (John 3:16). He only wants you to live your life for Him (1 Corinthians 6:20). Is there anything that you can give to Him today? Anything that you can put before the Savior’s feet and turn away from? He died so that you could live freely and fully in Him. Please surrender to Jesus today anything that would come between your relationship with Him. Today is the day. There might not be a tomorrow. Are you ready to meet our Lord?

How Great Thou Art Lyrics

Oh Lord My God, when I in Awesome Wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Then sings My soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
Then sings My soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing;
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the cross, My burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away My sin.

Then sings My soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
Then sings My soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.

Then sings My soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
Then sings My soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,
And take me home, what joy shall fill My heart.
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration,
And then proclaim, “My God, how great Thou art!”

Then sings My soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
Then sings My soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

Please let me know in the comments section what is your favorite version of this hymn. Did you know Elvis sang it too? Maybe you like Carrie Underwood’s version, Bill and Gloria Gaither or Lauren Daigle….Let me know! 🙂 These two are my favorites. Something about Josh’s baritone voice, but I love how Home Free blends it together! God bless all of you, my brothers and sisters in the Lord! Be blessed and sing out loud! Our God is great and worthy of our praises!!! Hallelujah to our Adonai.

  1. I love George Beverly Shea’s version that he sang with Billy Graham. I can remember that song repeatedly on my grandparents’ television on Sunday evenings when I was spending the night with them. I wasn’t a Christian, but I know that God was calling to me even then. And the very last time that I visited with my best friend, we watched Billy Graham’s funeral together. I say that we watched it together, but really Heidi was in and out of consciousness. Between her dozing away, we talked about the Lord. A week later, she died. That was three years ago and I miss my friend every day. But God is great and I know that I will see her again one day.

    1. I love your very personal response! Thanks so much for letting me know such private memories. I am blessed that you would choose to share with me. That is very special to my heart. Thank you. Your story reminds me of the song Precious Memories….how they linger…how they ever flood my soul.
      I am so sorry for your loss. But yes Heidi is in the presence of our Lord and Savior, there is no more pain, sadness or misery for her. She is rejoicing! Oh, hallelujah to the Lamb! Oh for the day when He calls us home.
      Sending love to you sister. ❤ ❤ ❤
      Have a blessed day.
