Isaiah 40:8 NKJV The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.
A friend of mine, named Angie, painted that scripture for me on the beautiful painting that she did which is at the top of this blog. She is so talented. This verse brings me comfort to know that we can always depend on the Word of our God. Everything else will fade away but what will remain is the Word of God. We can trust Him. He is truth and He doesn’t lie (Numbers 23:9). It is imperative, as His children, to be reading and understanding the word of God (Romans 12:2, Colossians 3:16 & Deuteronomy 6:4-9).
Oh most gracious, holy and heavenly Father,
Thank You for this day and with it another opportunity to study Your word and come into Your presence. You are good! May Your goodness rain over us, like a wonderful shower on the earth. May we sense, feel and experience You in a whole new way. Lord, we want to be closer to You. Let the things of this earth just fade away as we get in the light and beauty of Your presence. We love You and we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
