Accept those who are weaker in faith by not arguing about things such as; whether to eat meat or not, or what day to worship on (Romans 14). Each man should work out their own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). An older best friend and I had decided a long time ago, that, we valued our friendship so much, that even if one or the other of us hated the word peanut butter that we wouldn’t say peanut butter (or anything else). Knowing that, of course, we have the RIGHT to say peanut butter, but not if it hurt one or the other of us. Granted that is extreme, but you get the idea. Give up your ‘rights’ for the greater good.
Live and die for the Lord. We will all bow and Give account to God someday. We need to keep that in mind daily.
Stop passing judgment. There is only One who is qualified to judge and that is God. We are only commanded to love others, even our enemies (Matthew 22:40 & 5:44)! Remember do love as a verb. Read yesterday’s blog Show Love for more info. https://thefathersfeet.wordpress.com/2020/09/26/show-love/
Don’t make other believers stumble. We are here to lift one another up not tear down (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
Do E V E R Y T H I N G in love (1 Corinthians 16:14). That is a tough one because it is hard to love the unlovable or those who hate or spitefully use us, but it is what we are required to do. With God we can do all things (Philippians 4:13). It helps me when dealing with a difficult person to remember what Jesus said after suffering for all people’s sins, while hanging on the cross. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”- Luke 23:34 May that image be in your minds as well when dealing with your own thorns.
Live in peace. ‘How?’, you may be wondering. By love. 1 Peter 4:8-Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. Love conquers over evil (Romans 12:21).
Journey with me and let’s show Christlike love to the world. You know how. God will help us all to love the unlovable and to win the lost at any cost.
How we love You. How wonderful, fantastic, loving and amazing You are. Thank You for everything. Thank You for seen and unseen blessings. Thank You for the power that we need to live our lives in a way that would honor You and bring You glory. Let us shine bright for Your kingdom in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
