Put Others First

Romans 15:1-7 NLT

We who are strong must be considerate of those who are sensitive about things like this. We must not just please ourselves. We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord. For even Christ didn’t live to please Himself. As the Scriptures say, “The insults of those who insult You, O God, have fallen on me.” Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.

Can you imagine what joy it must bring the Father when all believers lift their voices in praise with unity in the Spirit? We need to be considerate of others. Just because they aren’t where we may be in our walk with the Lord, doesn’t mean they aren’t valued and loved just as much as we are by our Father. I have said it before and I will say it again, the time for finger-pointing is over. it is time to love one another, completely and fully.

Dearest and most holy heavenly Father,

We lift up praise to Your name. We worship You and exalt You as Lord over everything. Thank You for Your word. You always shine so much light on our path. You teach us in Your word to have mercy, patience and harmony. We are to exalt You and encourage other believers. Help us to be Christ-like in all that we do and in all that we say. We are not our own and we shouldn’t be living to just please ourselves, but rather to please You. Thank You, Lord, we pray in Your name Jesus. Amen and amen. Let all the believers say amen!

      1. I do appreciate that. I ask if you could keep my Mother In Law in prayer. She is in her 70’s and she has had two strokes and because of that she is living in a Nursing home. We have been praying that God will bring her home to her own house. The stroke has caused her to struggle a little with her speech.

Again thank you for offering to pray. Blessings to you and yours.

      2. Father God we ask for a miracle. We both agree in prayer for healing of desirayl’s mother-in-law. We know that all things work together for good to those who love You. Nothing is impossible for You. Lord, please let her be able to return to her home. Let there be no returning strokes. We ask that You would grant this request and receive all the glory from it for we ask in Jesus name. Amen.
