Through the Trials

Nothing is Ever Wasted in The Lord. No time, money or other resource is ever wasted when we give it to the Lord. He will take our little offerings and bless us more than we can imagine (Micah 3:10). Our God is good, faithful, righteous and true. He has taught us what is good.

Psalm 51:17 NLT The sacrifice You desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.

Micah 6:8 NLT No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good,  and this is what He requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy,  and to walk humbly with your God.

He is for us (Romans 8:31). He will never leave us (Deuteronomy 31:8). He will keep us safe (Psalm 121:7). We have to put our faith and trust in Him (Psalm 9:10 & 56:3). This is especially true when our faith is tested. It can be tested in different ways: a divorce; death of a family member; loss of a job; political, religious or financial arguments; schooling or countless other ways that we can get our eyes off of Jesus. Listen, it is through our trials that our faith is tested (1 Peter 1:7). We have to stand strong (Ephesians 6:13). We do that by drawing nearer to God (James 4:8).

We still praise Him, read His word and listen for His voice in the midst of trials and tribulations. Jesus never said it was going to be easy (John 16:33). But He did say that there would be a reward (James 1:12). In the flesh, it is hard to worship, praise and read his word. That is why we pray to die to the flesh, so that we can live in the Spirit (Romans 8:13). The flesh doesn’t accomplish anything in our lives but evil (Galatians 5:19-21). Those who are in Christ have crucified the flesh to the cross (Galatians 5:24). Let’s not sin that grace abound, Heaven forbid (Romans 6:1-2)!

Let’s be about our Father’s business at all times, during every season of our life, holding nothing back. We must live in complete surrender to our Lord and King. Through the good times and the bad. No matter what the situation, may you know and experience the goodness of God. Please remain faithful for the time of His appearing is drawing near. Let us continue to do ALL the right things for ALL the right reasons. Not giving the devil a foothold in any of our lives by being disobedient to what we know is the truth according to the word of God (Ephesians 4:27-32). Remember: James 4:17 KJV “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” Continue on, fight the good fight, praise the Lord and do what He says to do (2 Timothy 4:7).

Romans 12:6-13 NLT We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

Father God,

You are holy. We worship You in Spirit and in truth according to Your word which is the way You want us to come before You (John 4:23-24). Thank You for this day and all of the goodness that You give us. Help us to be strong and persevere, especially through the trials. Trials will come, but blessed is the person who endures (James 1:12). Oh, Father, You are good and You love to give good gifts to Your children (Matthew 7:11). The good gift that we ask for today is a closer walk with You through any and all trials in our lives. Help us to be lights shining so bright that others would see and notice the different ways that Your children react under pressure. Let us remain calm, peaceful and full of Your hope, no matter what comes our way. Help us to always exalt You and we will give You all the praise for we ask all things in Jesus’ name. Amen. Hallelujah. So let it be.

  1. Thank you, {{{Donna}}} for your steadfast encouragement in His Word. Yes, “Let’s be about our Father’s business at all times, during every season of our life, holding nothing back.” You role model that very well. God bless you! Have a lovely Sunday. ❤
