Treasure

I do not think we understand the power and magnitude of the written word of God. If we could only grasp the smallest bit of His word, oh what happy and truly joyful, blessed beyond measure and enlightened people we would be. One word from God is worth more than all the gold in Fort Knox. Our God is awesome and amazing. His words are invaluable. They are our treasure.

Matthew 6:19-21 NLT “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. 21 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.

Psalm 34:8 NASB O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!

Colossians 2:2-3 NLT I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. In Him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

God has given us so much wisdom in His written word. There is help for every situation that may arise in our lives. There is comfort, consolation, mercy, peace, joy and strength for anything life may throw at us. Check out the following link from American Bible Society

There is help, dear child of the living God, all the help you will ever need.

Father God,

We worship and praise You. There is power in Your magnificent name! Thank You for Your powerful Word. You have gifted us with so many blessings within the amazing pages of scripture. I just want to thank You and lift Your name on high. You said if You were lifted up, You would draw all men unto Yourself. We praise and exalt the name of Jesus. Hallelujah! At the mention of Your name demons run and flee (James 2:19)! The great I Am is living in His children (1 Corinthians 3:16). We are no longer like the sea tossing and turning with different waves of doctrine (Ephesians 4:14). We know Whose we are and Whom we serve. We know our power and identity through Christ (Philippians 4:13). We are growing in the knowledge of Your word (2 Peter 3:18). Continue to do a mighty work in and through us. We give You all the honor, glory and praise. In Jesus’ name we pray.

  2. Good day, {{{Donna}}} . . . I hope yours is better than my yesterday was – and I pray we both have a better day today than yesterday. I read twice the sentence: ” I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love,” and I decided I am part of the “them.” So many dear family, friends, former students, colleagues and long-time-ago classmates have reached out via text, FB comments, and e-mails, phone calls and visits in the last day since I posted that my sis had died. God is so good to put so much love and reassurance in our lives, isn’t He?

  3. Bind us together God , bind us together….. ❤ We all need to display that love! Strong ties of love! God is so good to have such encouraging words in the Scripture. We need each other and we need love. God is so good! Yes! Always! He is the best! He loves us more than we can even comprehend. I love that I can rest in His love. Pure and safe love. Sheltered by the Master! Love you (((Jan))) ❤ Again, I am so sorry for your loss.
