I will not teach falsehood. I will speak the truth in love. I will not water down, candy coat or say things to tickle your ears. It’s time we get back to the brass tactics. Right is right and wrong is wrong. Start calling a spade a spade. God will provide all of the wisdom and guidance that we need through His speaking to us in His word and in prayer. Speak Lord for Your servants are listening. (1 Samuel 3:10)
America has reviled God.
To revile someone is to mock them, to condemn them, to curse them, to falsely accuse them.
This attitude is prevalent all through our culture. Just turn on the television. You will hear Him being condemned, cursed, falsely accused and mocked throughout a large majority of network programming. Scripture says in Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.
Americans have glorified self over God through pride, envy, violence, idols and haughtiness.
It has become what we want and not what God wants, our way and not His way, take what we want instead of humbling ourselves and seeking first His kingdom, making other things even our own flesh more important than Him, and thinking that we know better than God. Wake up America! Wake up church!
The moderator kicking off the Muslim Delegates Assembly meeting during day two of the Democratic National Convention skipped “under God” while reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
We have insulted God’s very name.
His name is sacred. Now it gets tossed around nonchalantly on our children’s apparel. OMG is NOT acceptable. Not under any circumstance. Shame on us for not revering His name!
Exodus 20:7 tells us that we are not to misuse the name of the Lord, our God. That verse continues with a clear warning: “The Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses His name.”
In Leviticus chapter 24 a person caught taking the Lord’s name in vain was to be stoned! Psalm 29:2 says, ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness.
We have become FAR too comfortable hearing His name taken in vain! Wake up church! His name is to be revered. It bothers me when I hear His name taken in vain. I always say something about it. If it is correcting a guest or turning the TV to another show. It is not acceptable. We have become way too complacent with this.
God gives an inheritance to those who fear His name (Psalm 61:5). Read my blog titled, ‘Third of the Ten Commandments‘ for more information on taking His name in vain. https://thefathersfeet.wordpress.com/2020/03/13/third-of-the-ten-commandments/
The Lord is drawing a line in the sand. We need to be sure we are standing on His side, holding His hand. Everything else will fade away. Please stand up with me for the truth. You might not be liked, but we aren’t here to please people. It is our job to please God. Get His word out. Speak the truth. It might get us hated but that’s okay with me (Matthew 10:22). Indeed, I rejoice in that I am worthy to suffer for His name (Acts 5:41). The Christian race isn’t about winning in a popularity contest. It is about winning souls (Proverbs 11:30), preaching the gospel (2 Timothy 4:2), teaching others (Matthew 28:19-20), helping and guiding others and persevering (Mark 13:13). Because we know the time is short (1 Corinthians 7:29).
You are good and of Your goodness there is no end. We repent for our nation and for being so complacent. We humbly seek Your forgiveness. Reveal to us where we are wrong and help us to be right in Your eyes. We want to be standing on Your side, holding Your hand. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done. Thank You for the correction for Your word says that You love those You discipline (Revelation 3:19). We hear You, Lord, and will make any and all necessary adjustments in our life according to Your great power living in us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Wake up by All Sons and Daughters
