1 Samuel 15:22-23 So Samuel said: “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
And to heed than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.”
Obedience is so important. Read the word of God. Seek His face and His understanding. He holds all wisdom.
Read my blog titled, ‘Fifth of the Ten Commandments’ for more information on honoring your parents. https://thefathersfeet.wordpress.com/2020/03/15/fifth-of-the-ten-commandments/ Definition of honor is to regard or treat (someone) with respect and admiration. You obey them. Listen to them. Honor them in all things. Pay attention to what they have to say. The opposite would be rebellion and you can see in the above scripture that rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.
Let’s dig a little deeper in scripture to see what the Lord thinks of witchcraft.
1 Chronicles 10:13 Saul died because he was unfaithful to the LORD; he did not keep the word of the LORD and even consulted a medium for guidance
2 Chronicles 33:6 He (Manasseh) sacrificed his children in the fire in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, practiced divination and witchcraft, sought omens, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the LORD, arousing his anger.
Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.

Father God,
This is serious business with You. You are holy and You have required us to be holy (1 Peter 1:16). We have failed in so many areas, Lord. We humbly come before You today, seeking Your forgiveness in the area of rebellion. Whoever it is that we need to forgive, please lay it on our hearts to do such. We have no right to hold grudges or any hatred in our hearts towards anyone. We need to forgive as You have forgiven us. Help us to display mercy and compassion. May we have a heart to treat others as we would want to be treated, realizing that You search our hearts (1 Samuel 16:7). You know our motives and our pain. We can trust You with any and all of our problems. Thank You for Your redeeming love (John 3:16). We lay down all the hurt, pain and mistrust over any and all individuals. We ask that You would come in as a flood and wash away all of the garbage. Enable us to love our offender, for You are love, and that is what is pleasing in Your eyes (Matthew 5:44). Take away all grudges and disappointments. Father, I ask right now that You would restore all things, make them as new (Revelation 21:5). We lay them at Your feet, praying in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Yes, {{{Donna}}} … I pray with you today, May we all be faithful to “read the word of God. Seek His face and His understanding.” And may we remember always that “He holds all wisdom. ” Amen!
