Life or Death Choices

Revelation 21:8 But for the cowardly, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and sexually immoral persons, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and  brimstone, which is the  second death.

To be a friend of the world is to be an enemy of God (James 4:4). Our utmost devotion is to be to the Lord God (Matthew 22:37). Make no mistakes here. We need to realize the truth. What does the Lord say in His word? Micah 6:8 says, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy,  and to walk humbly with your God. We are instructed also to seek justice for the poor, orphans and widows (Isaiah 1:17). Every day we face choices. Choose this day whom you will serve. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15). God has drawn a line in the sand. He is on the righteous, just, holy and perfect side. We stand with the Father, covered by the blood of Christ. But, daily, we face choices. Will we stand with God on the righteous side or will we go with the world on their broad path that leads to death and destruction? (Matthew 7:13) There is a way that seems right to men, but the end thereof is death (Proverbs 12:26). Jesus is coming soon. We need to be doing the right things for the right reasons. See my blog titled, ‘Be Ready.’

Did you know we can murder with hatred? Matthew 5:21-22 & 1 John 3:15 both talk of hating and equate it to murdering. Who is our brother? Mark 3:35 Jesus said, “For whoever does the will of God, he is My brother and sister and mother.” We are to be Christ followers.

The world will lie to you and say it’s ok to have sex, they say you can show love to any gender you want or associate with. What does God say? He says we are to flee fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18). He created man and woman and told them to go populate the earth (Genesis 1:27-28 & 5:2). That was Adam and Eve not Adam and Edgar or Eve and Emily (Leviticus 18:22).

Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honorable among all, and the marriage bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

The world says it is a woman’s right to have an abortion. The word of God says in Proverbs 6:16-19 that hands that shed innocent blood is one of seven abominations (things that cause disgust or hatred) to Him. He says He knew us while we were in our mothers wombs (Jeremiah 1:5). See my blog titled, Abortion is Not the Answer

https://thefathersfeet.wordpress.com/2020/04/14/abortion-is-not-the-answer/

Again choose a side. Jesus says in Matthew 7:22-24, “On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’  But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ ” This is no time to be walking with the world. If you are riding the fence, and not choosing a side, the word of God says because you are lukewarm I will spit you out of my mouth (Revelation 3:16). https://thefathersfeet.wordpress.com/2020/05/17/do-not-grieve-the-holy-spirit/

Back to choices, are you going to gossip about others or will you choose to be wise adhering to Ephesians 4:29? Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up...Let’s read again the things the Lord hates as listed in Proverbs 6:16-19. There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers. https://thefathersfeet.wordpress.com/2020/04/03/today-is-the-day/

The world wants us to be divided. I declare that racism is wrong. There should not be groups who gather with their soul objective to be hate. Never before have I seen such hatred simply because of skin color. It is wrong to hate anyone. Why hate just because of skin color? We are commanded to love (Matthew 22:37-40).

Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

We have to be united. https://thefathersfeet.wordpress.com/2020/11/30/united/

Granted, we aren’t perfect nor shall we ever be while in this body. God’s word says to strive (try real hard, give your best) to be perfect (Matthew 5:48). This life is your race. You have to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12-13). We all do. Every day with every choice, choose righteousness. You can do it. He gives us the strength to mount up with wings as eagles and fly (Isaiah 40:31). Choose Him, He is standing there cheering you on. Can you hear Him saying, “Come on child, you got this. I am here to help you, just come to me.”? With so many things vying for our time and attention, we need to start our day with Him and ask Him to hold our hand.

Our prayer today is the lyrics to the following song.

Jesus Hold My Hand

As I travel through this pilgrim land
There is a friend who walks with me
Leads me safely through the sinking sand
It is the Christ at Calvary This would be my prayer, dear Lord, each day
You help me do the best I can
For I need Thy light to guide me day and night
Blessed Jesus, hold my hand Jesus, hold my hand
For I need Thee every hour
Through this pilgrim land
Protect me by Thy power Hear my feeble plea
O Lord, look down on me
When I kneel in prayer
I hope to meet You there
Blessed Jesus, hold my hand Let me travel in the light divine
That I may see the blessed way
Keep me that I may be wholly Thine
And sing ‘Redemption’s Song’ some day I will be a soldier brave and true
And ever firmly take a stand
As I onward go and daily meet the foe
Blessed Jesus, hold my hand Jesus, hold my hand
‘Cause I need Thee every hour
Through this pilgrim land
Protect me by Thy power Hear my feeble plea
And O Lord look down on me
When I kneel in prayer
I hope to meet You there
Blessed Jesus, hold my hand When I kneel in prayer
I hope to meet You there
Blessed Jesus, hold my hand

  1. Thank you, {{{Donna.}}} Soooo true: “We need to be doing the right things for the right reasons.” We’re on the “same page” again … my last blog was titled, “The Reason” ❤

    1. God is so good. This post wasn’t even going to be for today. I have been going in alphabetical order and todays was supposed to be titled, ‘Your Decision’. I suppose I will post that one tomorrow. I was tired this morning, so maybe that’s why I published this one earlier than I had originally planned. It is all in God’s hands. So it must have been meant to be for today. Hope you are having a great day. Hugs to you 🤗 Jan. ♡

      1. So far – so good, {{{Donna}}} I hope you’re having a great day, too. We have a neighbor here – a dear, helpful, talented neighbor – who is helping us hang the lighted snowflake above our fireplace. God bless our wonderful neighbor/friends! ❤
