Listen For the Trumpet

Matthew 24:31 NASB

And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet blast, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

Are you listening for the glorious trumpet sound? Be listening, child of God, while you are at work, home or school, before you partake in any temptation, when you awaken in the morning, and before you throw any insults or start any arguments (Deuteronomy 6:7). We are supposed to be at peace with each other (Romans 12:18). Let the thought of the glorious trumpet sound keep you safe. Safe from making any mistakes that would put you in a bad position for when Jesus returns. Think about His word. He is coming back for us. We are to be clean, trying our very best to do all the right things for all the right reasons (Ephesians 5:27).

Dearest and most holy heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your word. We are so safe in Your arms (Psalm 91:4-14). What a peaceful and amazing feeling to be in the shelter of Your wings (Psalm 61:4). You give us perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). You are our strength, hope and joy. We delight in You. Thank You for everything You have done, are doing and will do for us, Your children- Your people, who are called by Your name. We know we are cleansed by the blood of Christ (1 John 1:7). We just want to do and be better. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). The thing we want to do is live our lives, correctly, in Your presence. It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks, only what You think about us. We are committed to following You wholeheartedly. Please lead and guide us. May we not miss a God-given opportunity to change our lives, or the lives of others, for the better. We want to go where You send us, say what You want us to say and do what You would have us to do. Help us to not be hindered with the burdens of the world, but rather strengthen us to walk on the water with You. May we be listening, all through our lives, for the blessed trumpet sound. Lord, help us to be ready to run to You with no encumbrances holding us back. We love You and we pray asking You all things in Jesus name.

  1. It’s often a struggle to live at peace with our human understanding in this broken world. I’m continually having to ask the Holy Spirit for His help.
I hope you have a lovely weekend, Donna. xx

    1. Keep up the good fight Lesley. God will help you and strengthen you. Remember we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. (Philippians 4:13) He hears and answers our prayers. The bible says If two or more agree as touching anything it shall be done for them. (Matthew 18:19) We all have struggles. I am here to agree with you if you need help with anything as according to God’s will. May His will be done on this earth and in His children’s lives. Have a peace-filled weekend. God bless.

      1. Thank you, Donna. Yes, He lifts us up all the time. Daughter (who is our social bubble, lol) is coming over later tonight to spend a few days, so I’m looking forward to that. xx
