Praying For Our Grandchildren

Proverbs 17:6 Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.

Oh Father,

We come before You today with a burden for our grandchildren. We ask that You would lead them in the way everlasting. (Psalm 23) Help them to be a light in this dark world. (Matthew 5:14-16) If they do not know You, we pray that You would speak to their hearts. (Revelation 3:20) Nothing else matters more than a right relationship with You and Jesus whom You have sent. We thank and praise You for the blessing of their lives. We ask for them to be so full of Your Holy Spirit, that they would know, that they know, that they know, that You are Lord and Jesus is their Savior. (John 17:3) Help them to understand and grow in Your wisdom and strength. We pray Your peace, provision and protection upon them. We ask that even while they are young that You would be directing their lives and preparing Godly friends and eventually Godly mates to help them through their life. We only get one life and we pray that Your immense blessings be upon them. We ask that they would be at peace and live in holiness. (Hebrews 12:14) We pray for understanding and wisdom for each of our grandchildren, that they would seek You in all things. (Psalm 14:2,5) Lord, we know that troubles will come (John 16:33), please be their fortress and their deliverance in those times. (Psalm 18:1-3) Remind them that they are strong in their weakness because of Your power resting on them. We ask for long life and health for each of our grandchildren. (Psalm 21:3-4) Thank You for the opportunity to pray for them. We ask all things in prayer believing (Matthew 21:22), in Jesus name. (John 14:13-14) Amen.
