Daily Life

We are to be followers of God. (Ephesians 5:1) We cannot please God being in the flesh. (Romans 8:8) God has ordained that we walk, created in Christ Jesus, in good works. (Ephesians 2:10) If we sin, we have an advocate with the Father which is Jesus Christ the righteous One. (1 John 2:1-2) We aren’t to knowingly sin that His grace abounds. God forbid. (Romans 6:15) We are to try our best to be our best. We may fail, but when we are truly repentant for what we have done, God will pick us up, dust us off and set our feet back on the right path.

If we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with each other and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:7) We aren’t perfect, but we are to strive to be perfect. (Matthew 5:48) Whatever we do, we have to do it as unto the Lord and not unto man. (Colossians 3:23) That means at work, at home, in our conversations, whatever we find to do, do it as we are doing it unto God.

Every day be kind to one another, tender-hearted and forgiving. (Ephesians 4:32) We are to love one another, and not quarrel. (Ephesians 5:2 & Colossians 3:13) Bear one another’s burdens. (Galatians 6:2) Give thanks. (Ephesians 5:4) Be honest. (Ephesians 4:25)

Lord God,

You are our most holy, heavenly Father. You are above all. You know all. There is nothing hidden from Your sight. You choose to love us, (John 3:16) come into our hearts, (Revelation 3:20) redeem our sins, (Titus 2:14) and give us good gifts. (Matthew 7:11) Today we seek Your guidance to walk in a manner worthy of our calling. (Ephesians 4:1) Grow in us that our desire would be to have more and more knowledge from Your word about Your will and ways. May we take that which we do know and run our race pleasing to You. (Hebrews 12:1) Help us, every day, to love You most and put You first, remembering that You are with us and the things that we are doing and saying, we are doing unto You. That in itself is a good way to live our lives. We thank You for hearing our request and drawing us closer to Your side. We love and praise You and ask all things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  1. Amen! Imperfect as we are, let’s keep going no matter what.

(Hi Donna, I’m not having an identity crisis re: the slight change of name – there’s another Lesley who writes a blog called In The Spacious Place . . . something like that . . . and there have been a couple of times when peeps have got us mixed up. I’d hate my reputation to cast a cloud on hers as she’s a lovely person, so I thought I should do something about it. It’s still me! :D) xx
Have a great day. I’m off out in the snow with the doggies. 😀

  2. Ah yes, {{{Donna}}}, happy January 30th to you! This difficult year is about to end – and with it hopefully the worst of the pandemic can see its way out, too. I pray with you today, Dear Heavenly Father, “Help us, every day, to love You most and put You first, remembering that You are with us and the things that we are doing and saying, we are doing unto You.” And help remember You are in charge… and You have not forsaken us. Amen ❤
