Life begins in the womb (139:13). The Bible says that even before you were in the womb, God knew you (Jeremiah 1:5).
It was customary in the Old Testament period of time to mourn for seven days and seven nights for deep grief (Job 2:13 & Psalm 137:1). There must be a turning away from sin accompanied with deep sorrow. Our prayer needs to be for the Lord to break our hearts for what breaks His. This murder of innocent lives, that He has placed in the womb, has got to end. We cannot be complacent any longer. It is time to mourn for the loss of so many lives. Abortion is murder and it is wrong. I urge you to spend some time in the Lord’s presence actually weeping for such a travesty. It is so terrible the amount of lives lost every day in this world due to this glamorized and condoned sin. We, as the church, need to be the ones standing out, setting the bar, raising the standard, and declaring that this is wrong. Will you take a stand with me? Let’s look at the warning given in Ezekiel.
Ezekiel 3:16-21 NASB Now at the end of seven days the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 17 “Son of man, I have appointed you as a watchman for the house of Israel; whenever you hear a word from My mouth, warn them from Me. 18 When I say to the wicked, ‘You will certainly die,’ and you do not warn him or speak out to warn the wicked from his wicked way so that he may live, that wicked person shall die for wrongdoing, but his blood I will require from your hand. 19 However if you have warned the wicked and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his wicked way, he shall die for wrongdoing, but you have saved yourself. 20 Again, when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and commits sin, and I place an obstacle before him, he will die; since you have not warned him, he shall die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require from your hand. 21 However, if you have warned the righteous person that the righteous is not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall certainly live because he took warning; and you have saved yourself.”
Pray with me please,
We thank You that You are a God who loves the world so much that You gave Your only Son to take away the sins of mankind. We thank You that as we enter this wonderful relationship with You that You cleanse us with the blood of Christ and by the word of our testimony. You have given so much to us. We thank You for Your word, which guides and directs us. Today, we do pray that You would break our hearts for what breaks Yours. We ask that our hearts be sensitive to Your calling. Help us to protect the life of those who cannot protect themselves. Make known to us what it is that You would have us to say and do in whatever way, use us to help others. May each one of Your children reach one. May we shine the light and love of Christ so brightly in this dark and dying world. Open our mouths to warn those that we need to warn. Keep us silent when we need to just listen. We only want to do the things which are pleasing in Your sight. You are our Rock, our Strength and our Redeemer. We praise Your holy name. Thank You for being so awesome Lord. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
