Father,
Please help us to be better people. It hurts our hearts when we make any mistakes. We know that You are merciful to those who are genuinely sorry for their actions. We are sorry for failing You in this area of our words. We apologize for saying things we should never say. In our weakness, we have let anger take control over our tongue and we seek Your forgiveness. Please lead us to true repentance. Strengthen us to apologize to those we have wounded with our words and soften their hearts to receive our apology. We ask for Your great restoration. Bring us back into close fellowship with You and with each other. We need You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
