For His Glory

There are many false doctrines. You have to know the Bible. We always need to look to the word of God for any and all of the answers to our questions. The word of God is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). We must be filled with the Holy Spirit to know what is the truth (Ephesians 5:18 & Luke 11:13). He will lead and guide us in all truth (John 16:13). Being filled with the Spirit of God is living your life in complete surrender and looking to the things of God. This is accomplished by studying and meditating on the word of God, spending time with Him in prayer asking Him for His fullness and through praise and worship to God. We are sealed with His Spirit on the day we first believe in Him (Ephesians 1:13). We are told not to quench or grieve the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19 & Ephesians 4:30). Sinful actions can hinder the work of God’s Spirit in our lives. But walking in submission to the Lord, His will and His ways produces fruit of the Holy Spirit moving and growing in our life (Galatians 5:22-23).

Matthew 7:15 NKJV Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

Jesus went on to say in Matthew 7 verses 17-18 that we will know them by their fruits. Good trees will not produce bad fruit nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. It really is that simple.

Pray with me please

Father God,

We ask that You would continue to lead and guide us in all truth. Open our spiritual eyes to see what is the truth. Help us to be on guard and be ready to ‘spot the not’. Give us discernment that we may live our lives in full agreement with Your purposes for us. May everything we do and everything we say bring You glory. We ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.

    1. Hi Jan. Hope you are having a nice day. It is chilly here and u spent the morning working a thousand piece puzzle. It is a Bible one that has Jesus walking on the water, Daniel in the lions den, Noah’s Ark, the last supper and Jonah and the whale. It is pretty cool and relaxing. I love puzzles. Do you?

  2. Good evening, ladies. πŸ˜€
Donna, you must have loads of patience to tackle a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle! Once I find the outside bits, I begin to lose interest, lol. Mind you, the one you’re doing sounds really beautiful. I’m gathering bits and pieces to make an outdoor Easter garden in a pot.
    Sending love. xx

    1. Well idk about patience, I just enjoy figuring out the unknown. I used to love algebra. Had dreams of one day being a counselor so that I could help other people, but that never happened. I am just glad God has me here now.
Your pot sounds beautiful. I love flowers and gardening. Have a blessed evening. πŸ™‚

      1. G’morning, Donna. Is there not some way that you could still train to be a counselor? If you still have that desire, take every opportunity of making it happen. Meanwhile, I know God is working through your online ministry.

      2. Thanks Lesley! I do not know if the desire is there anymore or not. I still like to help people. I just think I will do it through here and taking care of the elderly which is my heart’s desire. May the Lord’s blessing be upon you.

      3. Thank you Donna, and you too.
I think it’s a great that you are drawn to helping elderly people. They are so vulnerable and I often think that people talk down to them, forgetting that they were once young and vibrant. I feel so much for elderly people who have lost their life partner and are now alone, especially at this difficult time with restrictions on visiting.
It’s a most worthwhile ministry. xx

      4. Absolutely, my sentiments exactly. They become so fragile, and they need our help. I will always have a heart for the elderly.
God bless you today, Thanks for your encouragement! That is what we are here for to help one another, lift each other up, and pray for one another. Thanks for doing a great job. πŸ™‚
