Romans 2:29 NLT No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by the Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people.
Failures, fears, problems, anxiety, heartbreak, turmoil, indecision, self-doubt, depression, loneliness, physical problems, anger, hurt, loss and betrayal are things that we have all experienced at one time or another. We are human. We all share in human emotions. Let’s look to the Bible to see what we are to do with them.
1 Peter 5:7-9 NKJV casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
We all hurt. We all have pain. Look around. You are not alone. The Lord is there to help us. Giving all your cares to Him means exactly that. Just pray and release any and every situation to Him. He will direct, comfort, expel any darkness, heal, and strengthen you. No matter the battle, He is the Victor and yours can be the victory. If you have any problems just give them to Him. Watch and see how quickly they will melt away. If you are not experiencing any problems right now, then pray for someone else. Maybe even for your enemy?
We are so thankful that You do not see how man sees, but You look at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). May we be careful to be doers of Your word and not hearers only (James 1:22), knowing that one day we will all have to give account of everything we have done (Romans 14:12 & Hebrews 4:13). Let our words, actions and even motives be pleasing in Your sight. If there is anything that we are doing that upsets You, please, remove it from our lives. Open our eyes to see that which is wrong in our hearts and give us the strength to repent and renounce it. Ready our hearts and minds to accept Your great will for us. We are not perfect (Romans 3:10), but we are growing every day in Your likeness (2 Peter 3:18). It is our desire to be pleasing in Your sight. As You reveal things to us and we repent, we ask for more of Your Holy Spirit and more of Your power to accomplish Your will for our lives. We are submitted to You and You alone. Have Your way in our lives. Lord, we also want to lift up any who have hurt us in any way. We forgive them and ask for Your blessings to be poured out on them. Draw them in so close to Your side, where there is true peace and joy. We pray asking all things in Jesus’ name. Amen.
John 8:11 KJV “She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.”
