Who is Jesus?

Jesus is Lord. In the following blog, some parentheses are at the end of a statement to look up the Bible verses that correlate with what is written. Grab your Bible (physical or look online) and follow along with me. We will see, according to the Bible, who Jesus is as Lord and Savior.

Since the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, the world has been under sin’s curse (Genesis 3). God, being holy, cannot tolerate sin (Joshua 24:19, Habakkuk 1:13 & Isaiah 6:3). In the Old Testament, people had to bring offerings for their sins (Leviticus 4-6). Since the fall of man there had to be an offering. The Bible says without the blood, there is no remission of sins (Hebrews 9:22).

We do not have to bring sacrifices of animals any longer. Jesus ended that on the cross. He is our Sacrifice. His blood was spilled for the sins of mankind. He is the sinless and spotless Lamb of God. Jesus came to this earth, lived a sinless life and gave His life as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God. His death on the cross was for all of humanity, so that all who believe in Him would have forgiveness of sins. He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6).

Romans 5:6-11 NKJV For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

Death is not the end of life. It is the beginning of eternity. Where you will spend yours is entirely up to you. The Gift has been given. The question is will you accept or reject Him?

John 3:16 NKJV  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

The punishment for those who reject Jesus is hell. Hell is a literal fiery place reserved for satan, his angels and those who reject the free gift of salvation that Jesus provided on the cross. Read my blog titled, Hell, for more information. https://thefathersfeet.wordpress.com/2020/04/10/hell/

Jesus did not stay on the cross. He was buried and on the third day He arose (1 Corinthians 15:4 & Acts 2:24). He is now at the right hand of God, interceding for us (Romans 8:34).

Through Jesus’ death on the cross and victory over the grave for those who accept Him, Heaven awaits. The Bible tells of Heaven’s streets being lined with gold (Revelation 21:21) and Jesus washing all of our tears away). There will be such joy there (Psalm 16:11). We will have transformed bodies (Philippians 3:20-21). There will be no more sorrow, pain, loneliness or any worldly junk (Revelation 21:4). Heaven will be filled with peace, joy and praises of and to our Jesus (Romans 15:13 & Revelation 4:8).

So there we have the truth of Who Jesus is and now it is your choice of what to do with that information. Will you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior?God gave us all a free will. He didn’t want clones running around praising Him. He wanted us to praise Him and love Him because we wanted to. What will your choice be?

Hebrews 9:27 KJV And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment

Now that you know who He is, would you like to invite Him into your heart so that you can live forever with Him? Please say this sinner’s prayer and mean it with all of your heart.

Dear God, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I admit to You that I am a sinner. I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.

I believe that Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.

You said in the Bible that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that You raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.

Right now I confess with my mouth, Jesus is my Lord. With my heart, I believe that You, God Almighty, raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own Lord and personal Savior. According to Your Word, right now I know I am saved by the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

If you said that prayer, welcome to the family of God my brother or sister. Please let me know in the comments so that I can rejoice with all of Heaven over your decision. God bless.

I, personally, confess that Jesus is Lord (Philippians 2:11)! We are not to believe every spirit, but to try them to see if they are from God. For there are many false prophets. The Bible says this is how we will know: Every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. And is the spirit of the antichrist (1 John 4:1-3).

  1. Yes, indeed! “God gave us all a free will. He didn’t want clones running around praising Him. He wanted us to praise Him and love Him because we wanted to. What will your choice be? ” My choice is to praise and love Him and to read His Word and try my best to follow Christ’s example of living in love. I know that’s your choice, too. Thanks for the daily encouragement! ❤
