T U R N

Psalm 22:27-28 NKJV All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, And all the families of the nations shall worship before You. 28 For the kingdom is the Lord’s, and He rules over the nations.

Matthew 13:14-15 NKJV And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, and seeing you will see and not perceive; 15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.’

2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV  if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

The message today is TURN.

When you turn away from something, you are no longer giving it the time or attention that you were before. Your eyes, heart and even motive has turned away. We are Christians, but we are not perfect (Romans 3:10). Is there anything in your life that God is asking you to turn away from? Is there anything at all that you need to turn to Him for? He loves us and is crying out for His people to TURN. Turn from any and everything that is displeasing to Him (1 Corinthians 10:31). Turn from doubt, fear or negativity (Proverbs 3:5). Turn from gossiping or slander (Matthew 12:36). Turn from drunkenness or reviling-To abuse; attack with evil words (Exodus 22:28 & Ephesians 5:18). Turn from self-will and find His will (Matthew 6:33). Turn from despondency-a state of low spirits caused by loss of hope or courage (Psalm 31:24). Turn from arguing, hatred and animosity (Romans 12:18, 1 John 4:20 & Romans 8:9).

Remember what the Lord has done for you and for others. In the Old testament the cry was to repent. A biblical definition of repentance is to make a change of mind, heart, and action, by turning away from sin and self and returning to God. The book of Acts the message is repent (Acts 3:19). John’s message was repent (Matthew 3:2). Jesus’ earthly message was repent (Matthew 4:17). God loves His people and wants us to turn to Him for help. He will give us rest (Matthew 11:28).

John 3:16 NKJV  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

All through scripture, the Lord was there for His people when they repented and turned to Him. Oh, please, turn to Him today. Don’t wait another second. Turn.

Lord God,

Please help us to turn to You in all things. We remember what You have done. Forgive us for any despondency or lack of commitment. Forgive us for wherever we have failed You. Please, open our eyes and hearts so that we would turn to You. Open our ears to hear and our eyes to see that which is Your will for us. Help us to turn, Lord. We need You. Let our hearts understand. We know that all sin separates us from You. Reveal to us if there is any occasion, situation, circumstance or person that we need to turn from and turn towards You. Enable us to be strong and repent. That is the message throughout Your word. Repent….Oh, Lord, You love Your people so much. Thank You for Your great love and for the word turn. May all of our hearts be turned to faithfully and humbly serving You out of complete love. We are turning to You and are committed to faithfully doing all that You have laid on our hearts and minds to do. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.

Remember Jonah didn’t turn and go where the Lord wanted him to go and he got swallowed up by a whale. Jonah didn’t want to go to Nineveh. Is there anywhere you don’t want to go today that the Lord says to go to? Turn to Him and follow His ways.

Ezekiel 33:10-11 NKJV “Therefore you, O son of man, say to the house of Israel: ‘Thus you say, “If our transgressions and our sins lie upon us, and we pine away in them, how can we then live?” ’ 11 Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’

Revelation 18:4 NKJV And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.

    1. You are so welcome. Believe it or not, I actually saw the word T U R N in the clouds. My husband and I always look for things that different clouds may look like. But the other day I actually saw the word T U R N, I kept telling him it was right there pointing to the particular cloud. He didn’t see it. Sometimes we see what the other is seeing in the clouds and sometimes we don’t.
Anyways, now you know the reason for the title. God bless. 🙂
